Parts department is great over there now. I was just there and they were very helpful when I was there earlier today. Can't really say the same thing for sales a couple months ago when I was trying to look for a wrx and the sales guy showed me an evo then blew me off =/

What do you mean people didn't know about it at all? Plenty of people knew about it and we got a lot of responses after the show like "We stopped by Subaru but saw that no one was there so we left" and "We drove by but didn't see anyone there"

The employees at Subaru did not know about the event. We sent flyers over to the GM but I guess the other employees, such as sales & service guys, didn't get the memo. Why? I'm not sure why they weren't informed. I didn't think I needed to promote to the people that worked at the place the show was going to be held at but next time I will.

And like I said before.. The event was promoted for a month, if not more. Subaru knew about it since day 1 because we didn't start promoting and planning it until we got the OK from Subaru to do the show in THEIR lot. Because as planning goes, you talk to the planners/sponsors first about the shows agenda (such as time, location, food, models, music, raffle/prizes/trophies/trophy categories...) and then you put it on a flyer and THEN promote it. So obviously Subaru knew about the show because they were party of step 1.

They didn't move the cars or buy the food for the show even after they agreed to do it. If they didn't agree to do it, why would we promote the show saying that they were going to host it? Don't you think we would have changed the location if they didn't agree to do the show??

STEVENS CREEK SUBARU SCREWED IT UP, is that so hard to comprehend?
What's there to question!
I find that hard to believe seeing as how you are the only person on the face of the earth who seems to know about this car show. Also, it sounds like the show happened, so I dont get where SCS comes into play here. Besides, why would you have all all make, all model car show at a Subaru dealer with a packed lot of cars for sale? That doesnt make any sense.

Just to name a few..

SC Subaru offered their lot for the show. It was intended to help promote SC Subaru but they screwed it up for themselves. Now everyone that went to SC Subaru on the day of the show knows exactly what went on and how the management decided to back out on the show. Certainly doesn't make them look very good but whatever. The show ended up happening at SC Mitsubishi. Big thanks to them.

Sure the show went on but it could have saved many of us big headaches. We lost a lot of traffic for the show because of the move in location. SC Subaru management lied, get it through your thick skull. They lie about many things.

jewpac42 & others, just because you personally did not know about the show doesn't mean others didn't.

I don't care to further explain anything else about the show & how SC Subaru decided to screw it up. If you guys don't get it, you just don't get it. I can't help you there.

So being that the show was supposed to be at Stevens Creek Subaru why was this show not listed on the Subaru forums?

I don't see any mention of it on:

i-Club
NASIOC
ClubWRX
RS25
IWSTI

Based on all the posts above, yes it does look like it was supposed to be at Stevens Creek Subaru's lot, but it looks a lot more like it was supposed to be put on by Method 4 Motorsports and not actually by Stevens Creek Subaru. Sounds like if you want to be pissed at someone be pissed at Method 4 Motorsports for not having everything setup properly on their end.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!!!!
Yes, M4 was supposed to throw the show at Steven's Creek, that they did NOT promote, and dropped the ball royally. I know this because Scammy was starting the "planning" phase when I quit working for M4. Last I know, Scammy could only find some skeezy *** models and was trying to convince the Owner and GM of the dealerhip to clear the section of the lot with the used cars on it.

Why would a Subaru dealer get involved with something like that? They want the liability of all the dumb ricers who show up to that crap? As mentioned above, I would bet it was M4 who promised to promote the show and probably also promised use of the SCS lot before actually checking with SCS to see if they would do that, which any sane person would realize they wouldn't seeing as how it isnt a factory backed event. Seems to me you should be mad at M4 who has passed the buck to SCS management so they dont look worse than they already do. Because if SCS management had allowed usage of the lot, they would have certainly let their department managers know about it, which as evidenced in this thread, they didnt.

&&If you plan to buy a used car from there, inspect it carefully. Very carefully. Take it to 3 shops for inspection before you sign your name on the line.

Tool.

*I forgot to say that the sales guys and everyone else is nice though. No problems with them. They are good people.
I have read all 11 of your posts, and as someone who has put on successful car shows of 300+ cars w/50+ trophies and awards in the past (back in the 90's) let me say a few things here..

1)Your a ****ing idiot, NO ONE sets up a car show without contracts and signed legal documentation. Did you have a contract, insurance, sponsors, backing...my guess is NO.

2)No one here can find a single link among the Subaru groups to your so called "show" I would say, once again, your a ****ing idiot. I did a little more digging and found no talk at all of it being linked or tied to the Subaru dealership.

3)Your a troll, the posts you have put up show that.

4)After watching you blast some of the best folk around (paul as an example) I have come to the final conclusion you are a idiot and a troll. Perhaps you will do us all a huge favor and drink a tall glass of bleach.

Now, to the rest of you, I am sorry if my post has offended anyone or broke any rules of i-club. Mods if I have violated any rules please let me know via PM and take down this post.
