How were the roads up there? I'm assuming I can lock up the snow tires for the season. I think it's 85 in Santa Rosa today.

yeah its from my old coolpix 2500 and jeis dropped it so many times im highly upset....but im not gonna lag my my other one around hahaha

and it was a last min thing...i was like F it i need to go!

 

how do you guys think the snow is gonna be this weekend? im heading up to sierra probably saturday.

 

umm... its almost 80 degrees out here.....

gonna lose a lot of snow today and throughout the rest of the week unless it rains/snows here again.

 

snow pretty much wasnt very good this past weekend

i was up at alpine on sunday. for about an hour and a half in the morning, it was really icy, completely hard. for a couple hours in there it was pretty good, but after 1 it was slushy and not very good. i would stay on all the main runs right now, no use going into trees, it is not going to be any fun

on top of that, it was about 60 degress at 3 in the afternoon to give you an idea

I'm hoping to do a daytrip on Wed. I gotta Kirkwood voucher I need to use & I didn't wanna waste it on a spring "groomer" day. Crossing my fingers that they get an accumulation of at least 8 inches.

YES! sierra wasn't too bad this saturday although it was pretty warm there, just imagine boarding in sf weather. There is still a lot of snow but "unmarked obstacles" (rocks, trees parts) appeared on a few runs due to melted snow. i cant wait to go again within the next couple of weeks...

 

what do you guys think for this weekend? go or no go

Looks like we'll be back to b00ty-ful spring conditions (mostly sunny skies & temps in the mid-50s) for this wknd. Ideal for hitting the park & mashing the groomers!

IIRC, you mostly ride the south shore, right? I'm looking to hit up the northside @Sugar Bowl over the wknd, but not before I enjoy some of the freshies @Kirkwood on Wed.

yea.. mostly south shore, but I like to hit north star too. I had a pass to kirkwood last year it was great. do you want to go to sierra on friday? I am even tempted to go on wednesday.

anyone want to go on friday? I have to drive up by myself because I'm staying the weekend at my parents house up there.. otherwise i'd offer a ride. If someone wants to drive up there too though I need someone to board with all day on friday!!!

 

Hit up KW yesterday!!! Unfortunately, we only got a scant 4" of fresh... nothing to get a good, "WooHoo!!!!!!" going. The backside & the wall were closed due to wind ('twas pretty gusty) & it was overcast till noon. But the day was just AWESOME after lunch! I've a nice "anti-racoon" tan/ burn to prove it! I'm heading up again tomorrow for the day. Have fun @Sierra, bruddah!
