Yeah..im not much of a jibber either, so the Rider's choice's buttery feel goes to waste for me, and its just too small for me when I'm not in the park, I was spinning like a top without much effort.

But the anthem rips! Even in the slush I was carrying speed, can't wait to shred some powder with it. Had a ton of pop off kickers as well.

cliff how'd it go for you this weekend?

Sunday was CRAZY. they shut the mountain down except for the noob slopes and the shisty little noob park. So I tooled around that until like 1;30 or so. First time I've set foot on any kind of park jump since the knee injury. Didn't go down once. It was too windy to be doing much of anything but I made up some fun lines that literally NO ONE was taking. I just don't have the full list of tricks anymore..haaa.

Then we hiked for a while and dropped some fresh lines...hiking up the bowl with 70mph winds...not so much fun.

It was a decent day of riding. One of my nephews (my brother's kid) had a blast. It was cool seeing him push himself & giving him pointers when he asked. Unfortunately, the other one (my cousin's kid) got too frustrated & gave up. I guess it ain't for everyone, eh?

Luckily, almost everything was open, other than the backside. I know the trails along the El Do' chair had already been closed for at least couple weeks & the Alley shut down after Easter. Thankfully I didn't have the winds like you experienced yesterday. So I had fun smashing around that place til it got super sticky by 2:00 or so. I did take a pretty nasty spill when the "glue" grabbed at my board as I was straight-lining a l'il section to build momentum for some flats. It was as if I had a rug pulled out fr: under me. I wrenched my shoulder & neck a bit, but nothing major.

I'm looking to hit up Kirkwood on Sat. One of my buddies is up in Minden this week for training, which wraps up on Fri afternoon. So I'm gonna meet up w/ him & we'll likely stay in S. Lake on Fri nite.

Oh... and on the way home on Fri after riding, I stopped off at Boards N Motion in Cameron Park & picked up the Agent 152. I went in for the Anthem 151 (geared for more freeride, less freestyle), but I guess I'm not ready to take the park completely outta "my diet."

Nice pick up. The agent won top scores last year from future magazine, then rome entered the anthem this year and it won top scores. Both are great decks. I figured my anthem should be versatile enough to manage in the park =)

Gnu Rider's choice 157.5, nearly new! $270!

More Snow & wind On The Way!!!

Keeping it nice & simple this time...

We can expect a bit of a "touch-up" each day for the next several days. The greatest accumulation is projected for Sun, w/ 6"-10" falling throughout the day. Also, the winds will be gusting up as each system moves in & through.

Happy Sliding!!!
