Yup. X-course racing is fun to watch. As a lightweight compared to most of y'all, I'm a HUGE fan of Graham Watanabe. Seth Wescott has been pretty dominant over the years. Good to see him back from his knee injury. Nick Baumgartner is a beast! He just walks people down w/ his mass. LOL

I guess I gotta keep scoping the TV listings to DVR the random airings of FIS & USASA events.

My SD plans fell thru, so I might hit up the Burton showroom around lunchtime.

Anyone else have plans to go?

FYI: Commute traffic on westbound I-80 thru V-town & Fairfield was b0nkerz! Prolly still is for all those w/ holiday getaway plans to Reno-Tahoe.

(slightly "off" topic), but do any of you fellas ever make it down to Mammoth? In-laws have a bada$$ place in Truckee, but my father-in-law's jokes are only funny once a year (and we were up there for the NYE)...

There is a group of us forming for the (random) weekend in Feb/March at the moment.

I have yet to hit up Mammoth. It along w/ Whistler-Blackcomb & Jackson Hole are on my wishlist. I dunno how realistic it would be to jump into your planned trip this season, but keep us all posted. Ya never know...

Oh, and it looks like our 2-week dry spell is coming to an end. A dusting is expected tmrw night followed by a few days of light to moderate snowfall from Sat into Tues.

The longer-range forecasts are calling for a very good February!

And in case y'all didn't know that the Tahoe Weather Discussion guru is on a new site now, you can find him HERE.

Hooray for snow!

Gotcha. Fair enough. I am going to Big Bear tomorrow, but its a typical SoCal ordeal up there; sun, sun and more sun. Yuck.

If nothing else I will have to make the drive up to Tahoe again and see my in-laws. Bring out the C2H5OH....

Anyone here use SnowPals? Looking for someone who wants to do a day-trip tomorrow. I know it's kinda short notice.

Not that my reply woulda helped anyway, but I've been on SnowPals since the damn near beginning... back in the BASS (Bay Area Skiers & Snowboarders) days like around the time i-club split.

Hope you had a chance to shred. I can't do Fridays unless I play hookey. Or unless it's a afternoon/night sesh @ Boreal and that don't really appeal to me.

Where'd you end up if you did go? And how were the conditions? I'm gonna try to daytrip it on Tues.

As I mentioned last week, I'm bummed that boarder-X is gone but I did catch some womens slopestyle yesterday during lunch. Slope is the only event in the lineup that I dig now.

Yikes! What do ya mean by "rough?" We talking bullet-proof sheet of ice? Or just pretty firm in the morning & in the shade, but softens up OK by lunchtime? Just wondering, bruddah, cuz I've got a daytrip in my crosshairs tmrw.

Oh and glad you got a pair of days in. How many so far? I'm still sitting on ONLY 3. But stoked that the storm door's re-opening by Wed next week!

Hmmm.... I'm about due for one. Do you do brozillians? I keed... I keed. Seriously, though. I've been doing my minor tune work for years now, so I'm good there. But cool of you to offer since there are riders that don't trip much on waxing & whatnot.

But in re: to riding tmrw, I'll post here and/or PM you as soon as I hear back from a couple of my buddies.
