damn that's the area where I live. I live down the street from the CHP office in Dublin and I drive around in that area all the time. I guess it is time to remove the cat-back and go back to the stock exhaust until this crack down ends(hopefully all this is due to the upcoming release of FF4)

Stupid kids today.
I know this post has already been addressed, but I wanted to share my $.02. If someone dresses like a "stoner" there is a possibility that they are carrying weed, but that doesn't give a police officer the right to strip search them. The way someone dresses in a sense can be their way of expressing themselves, and is this not protected by our freedom of speech? So, why then is it okay for people to be profiled based on the appearance of their car? Sure, a car that fits the profile of a modified car is likely illegally modified. But in many circumstances, they are not. I know that CHP has better things to do out there than to track down cars with modified emissions, and it isn't right for them to flag down every car they come across just because it fits the mold.

I have a question. I have this modified emission ticket I need to respond by early April. Went to state ref and got it all passed. So, if I file for trial by declaration or want a court date, do you still have to pay bail/fine even if you have a papar from the state ref? Can someone explain how he/she approached this issue to appeal to the court or trial by declaration. I'm going to file for it this April. I have been extending the deadline since december.

Thanks.

Not yet. I've contacted a traffic attorney and am awaiting a response (on a side note, does anybody know of a reputable traffic attorney?).

Also, something is wrong with the phone number on the back of the citation. It says to call 1-800-622-7733 but that leads me to a community college. First it was busy all day, now its the wrong number? Argh... so frustrating.

Uhm, a hoodless scoop? Are you using duct tape to keep that scoop on top of your intercooler since you got rid of the rest of the hood? Pretty certain a car without a hood, but still having the scoop might not be that much of a sleeper.

DO you ever have anything positive to say?

To the OP, sorry to hear that you got reffed. Just switch your exhaust back to stock and put your stock intake back on and you are good.
