Yeah but I also have TGV deletes, turbo inlet hose and heat wrapped uppipe. Also, before anyone asks why I have those mods on the stock turbo - I bought the car used with the TGV deletes and inlet hose already installed, and I replaced the stock uppipe two weeks ago because the heat shield broke and had a super loud rattle. I also just put in brand new exhaust gaskets from the ex. manifold all the way to the axle back.

TGVs will be fine, and I bet you'd pass with all of those other mods, sans catless exhaust. You're just screwed on the visual.

I do not agree with the profiling, but CARB approved bits would have saved a lot of headache.
I guess this is a classic case of "It wont happen to me".

I'm curious about those CARB legal Magnaflow cats. I bet they're just like every other hi-flow cat on the market except Magnaflow paid the extortion $$ to CARB to get the approval.

sorry to hear man, sucks after you just got retuned and all and weren't able to enjoy it for very long. don't let this get you down and make you want to sell the car, just get it taken care of, then maybe look for a wingless trunk to help avoid this from happening again. just my $0.02, good luck with everything!

This also makes me want to come up with some sort of big plastic cover in the engine bay. Like how MB has it so you can't see any of the motor, just black plastic.

I would question whether he had a right to search your car due to the lack of probable cause. If he did in fact pull you over for your STOCK wing and there wasn't ANYTHING else on your car that violated the law (visually), then technically he's not allowed to search your car due to lack of probable cause.

Sucks you got pulled over though... I got nabbed last night for having no license plates (new car). I have tint and a melon shooter cat back exhaust that isn't very loud... He searched all around my car and asked me a bunch of questions, but my car is 100% stock minus the CAT BACK and access port, but there was no way for him to know about the AP so he let me go since all I had was a catback which wasn't that loud. I was afraid he'd send me to the state ref for my catback, lol... Lucky he wasn't an idiot.

Dam* Just sucks how we could be just handling normal daily errands, and how a cop would pull us over for profiling. I've heard more and more of this everyday, and it scares me even though Im all stock!

U srs?

Someone let me know when they plan to argue probable cause against a cop in a traffic court. I'll make it a group meet and bring the 20lb bag of popcorn.

^^^

I didn't say he'd win in court, just providing further proof that the cop was an ***.

At least the cop that pulled me over had a valid reason, I didn't have lic plates due to my car being new (but he didnt know that), but damn, getting pulled over for having a wing?

"SUBARU IMPREZA No products match your search."

Still S.O.L.

Pulled you over for just having a new vehicle? Did you have that new dealer license plate at least?

Happened to me twice in last 4 months. 1st time, I went to state ref. Converted all power mods to stock. Passed the smog.
2nd time, the cop let me go, because I was all stock except for borla hush and carb intake.
So, getting pulled over once doesn't mean you will not get pulled over next time. I'm glad I kept my rex smog legal 2nd round. If it wasn't, most likely I had to visit state ref again.
I too is considering selling the rex. Being pulled over is getting really old. I think I'm going to put stock catback for now....Need something fast in stock form. I think non-carb mods are not worth it these days. It's going to get worse. I guess I'm getting old. By the way, I hate F&F.
