I use to get pulled over atleast every six months for the wing because it "obstructed my view through the rear view mirror".... but that was when i lived in a small town of 30k people and i had the only subie. But it does suck but that is why I really want a wingless since it will save me so many head aches!

I'm just waiting for the cops to pull over the fox body mustang riding around my neighborhood with carb legal open headers. Haha. I got pulled for suspected modified echaust and I have out of state plates. My muffler I a straight through magnaflow 3" that has the stock tip on it. It doesn't even hint that it is modified

To top it off, the citation 27156 (b) says that I must stay off the roads until my vehicle is in compliance.
I cant even drive it without fear of being towed!!
State referee is closed on weekends... anybody know what kind of fine this would be if I choose to just pay it?
AAAAAAccccckkkk!!!

Also, I'm afraid that if I put the car back to stock that I would sell it. It's not worth the trouble of putting everything back on and then be paranoid of it happening again. Damn this royally sucks. I knew I should have bought the 08 STi when they had the 0% financing. The STi wagon/hatch is so much stealthier.

OMG, that's soooooo f'ed up... F'ing dumb law... People can't afford that kind of crap! Where does all the f'ing state's money go if we're paying this god damn much?
Arrrrrrrrrrrg this makes me mad as hell and it didnt even happen to me!
We feel ya man.
Damn, if its ~$500, I may as well pay it. It would cst more to pay a shop to put it all back to stock and then put it all back again... and I'm not about to do it myself. Turbo inlet hose, TGV deletes, uppipe.... I don't have half the tools to do that kind of wrenching.

I figure the more people paying these BS tickets would result in them pulling more and more of us over and reffing us.
I had my car reffed and left quite a few mods on, I left the turbo inlet pipe on (black silicone) vf34 turbo, sti pink injectors, walbro pump. spt intake, and greddy evo2 catback.
you should be able to leave your turbo inlet and tgv delete. all you would need to do is the uppipe and downpipe and catback if its loud

There are 2 types of searches you need to be aware of:
Consent to search: You allow the officer to inspect/search your vehicle.
Officers will use tactics in his language to get you to allow him to inspect/search your vehicle. Such as, "you mind if you pop your hood?" your automatic reaction would say yes, because he's an officer of the law. Almost using scare tactics to get you to comply. If he's going to give you a ticket for aftermarketparts, ref you or even tow your car, ITS NOT against the law to say, "Sir, I don't give you consent to search under my hood"
It is your "CIVIL" right to say no
Authority to search: This is where the officer has to get authorization from the DA or assigned designee to authorize this. "Based on Probable Cause"
Speed Exibition, Speed Contest, Aftermarket Exhaust, TINT. . .
some officers will use this as PC, but barely holds in court. . .
You look like a street racer, how fast does your car go? you have racing stickers on your car, and etc. . . .
An officer 90% of the time has already decided if he/she's going to give you ticket prior to the stop....
Most of the time, the officer will cite you for a lower violation if you are respectful. . .
Hope this helps everyone. . .
