I'm planning on getting a Nexus 4 within a week since my contract with beg red is apparently up. Going to go with T mobile off contract.

Any other Nexus 4 owners? Thoughts opinions on the phone? I'm going with the 16gb because its only 50 bucks more from Playstore.

It's a slick phone having played with one in person. Also you can modify your connection to receive the 4g HSPA+ connection if my memory serves me correctly.

Pretty detailed instructions on XDA I bet.

No need to modify. Just pop in your SIM card.

I believe he is talking about getting LTE towers to work with the device.

question

me and the wife are switching to Tmobile for their off contract plan. We're coming off verizon.

So my question. I understand CDMA VZW iphones wont work on GSM network. So I got my wife a low end android samsung galaxy Y. It can run a wifi tether (hot spot). So back to my question. Is there a way to use the tether feature so she can still make calls on her iphone (connected via wifi)? I know there is google voice and bobsled, but my wife wants to retain her number.

Any suggestions would be great

I can take the phone number to Tmob but it will be assigned to that phone (sim) galaxy Y. She wants it to be able to forward to the iphone she has.

I know this is stupid but she's a woman and woman do and want strange things

So...my wife and I have Motorola Atrix 4Gs that are now available for an upgrade. I will probably just get two of the same phone but am on the fence in regards to the next model to get. The Samsung Galaxy S4 looks pretty nice but I've also been eyeing the HTC One as I had great experiences with HTC Windows phones in the past. I doubt there will be any rooting involved (definitely not on her phone). Any thoughts from the great i-Club phone people?

If you're looking at the S4... take a look at the S3. You might be able to get one for free or nearly free with your upgrade

I would guess Tmo or some app could be set to forward a call to another number..

So set up call forwarding to a Google Voice number so she can use that?
But can you use GVoice on an iphone?

my advice to people considering a new phone: If you aren't 100% sure what you want, best thing to do is to play with it in store. Most carriers have a 30 day return policy, so even if you don't like it, you could always get another phone.

The S4 is cool, played with one the other day, but I'm not so sure about the new features like air gesture, seems rather gimmicky, but I do like the fact that you can use the screen with gloves on, perfect for cold weather!

Yea you can use Gvoice on iphone. I set it up for my parents for when they went international traveling. They were always around wifi so being able to make a call was never a problem. I'm curious if I can do call forwarding though it?
