My phone only charges when I push on the cable downward. It doesn't charge if it lays down flat on a table. Tried it with a few different cables but it still does the same thing.

Time for a new phone!

I had this issue with my s3 make sure you use dust off to spray away any dust inside the hole... If that doesn't work replace the unit.

Yeah, when my wife cracked her screen a couple of months ago I played around with an S3 at the store as they had a "two for $300" offer. I almost pulled the trigger but since the S4 was coming out in a couple of months I just bought a replacement screen and installed it myself. It was nice, but since I only buy new phones every two years or so, I'd rather spend a bit more and get the newest phone I can.

The S4 is cool, played with one the other day, but I'm not so sure about the new features like air gesture, seems rather gimmicky, but I do like the fact that you can use the screen with gloves on, perfect for cold weather!
Yeah, I'll definitely stop in a store to pay around with the phones before pulling the trigger. I also think some of the features on the S4 seem a bit gimmicky.

There's also the LG Optimus G Pro coming out this month. Seems pretty sweet spec-wise. Any thoughts on LG phones?

I've always been so careful with my phones I never bought insurance for any of them. I've gone 9 years without needing insurance up until this phone. It's been a little over a year but hopefully they'll still cover it.

Yeah I did that already, also tried using q-tips with alcohol but it didn't seem to help. Looked it up online and it seems that many micro-usbs suffer from this problem.

I have 3 lines. 2 usable and 1 dummy line and pay about 160. That's with 21% off from my work. Still seems slightly expensive to me. I have 700 shared min/unlimited data/insurance on one line.

How is T-Mobile's coverage and data speed for those that have them?

So it looks like it would cost $160 to replace my phone or I could get the Galaxy S4 for $200 with my upgrade. I think I might just do that.
