ODIN isn't difficult to use, you'll get the hang of it quickly, I used it on my all mighty Charge.
i am waiting for aokp to come out with their newest release. I've been running the same rom since i think Nov.

Ok so the time had come today I:
installed Android SDK and ADB interface on my comp and backed up my IMEI (I used part A in the below link)
[HOWTO]Comprehensive IMEI/EFS Backup - xda-developers
then rooted and unlocked bootloader
followed this thread
[GUIDE] Root for Jelly Bean OTA ***UPDATED 1/29*** - xda-developers
installed Android SDK and ADB interface on my comp and backed up my IMEI (I used part A in the below link)
[HOWTO]Comprehensive IMEI/EFS Backup - xda-developers
then rooted and unlocked bootloader
followed this thread

Not yet. I can just do that thru the CWM... im debating if I want to install the toolkit or not. Dont really need it now.

I am running the Milestone. If you wanna wait until tomorrow you can play around with my setup and also look at Man's. I know that he is running a lean kernal and a different rom. Not sure exactly which one.
