that's a good idea. I spent some time looking at some of the mashup roms and other **** that people have putting out and a lot of it just looks like ***.

 

So I booted into CWM and went to install from .zip

Went to install the newest beta rom and it flashed. When my phone was resetting I get a big yellow triangle saying:
"system software not authorized by verizon wireless has been found on phone go to nearest verizon store"



Its a soft brick. So right now im downloading a stock image for 4.1.1

From what im reading it says the cause of that is flashing with a locked bootloader... not sure how mine was locked tho. I even have the EZ Bootloader unlock app thing and it showed it was unlocked.

So now ive gotta wait over an hour for this file to download, flash it and start over

 

that's ****ing absurd. let's look at it at the meet tmw.

 

from reading other threads ive seen this

"if you used either version 1.3 or 1.4 of EZ-Unlock it will brick. You have to use 1.2 or lower"

Stock image is only 38% done

 

Picked up an unlocked LG Nexus 4 . Haven't unlock the bootloader / root yet. Gotta un-root and flash stock bloated rom to my S II and sell it ( running Jedi X 4 )

 

Home from work and the image file was done downloading... now starting to flash back to stock.

 

So my ish failed because of the latest beta ROM.. after trying 3 different versions of gaaps, they would all freeze the phone and render it useless till i flashed back.

So i installed the latest proven ROM from AOKP and it accepted gaaps no problem. Right now all my apps are being reinstalled and think im good to go

 

finally updated my samsung galaxy skyrocket s2 to ICS....

Phone is practically unusable, and battery dies within hours.. lol

So Ive had the problem with Maps/Navigation once my phone got the official OTA to JB. Seems like a lot of people have the same issue.

I ROMd my phone and the problem did not go away. So I flashed back using Odin to 4.0.4 ICS. Then ROMd my phone to where it was at. Nav/Maps STILL do not work This **** is driving me nuts.

 

what the ****. that's absurd. try deleting and redownloading the navi app if possible?

 

you have to have some sort of setting wrong.

make sure it's installed in the system folder and not the sd card.
