i'd also like to help set things up.

If only there was a fee to be a member and then we could use that for events like this... I know there are a lot of car clubs that have membership dues and that is how they are able to put on crazy events like track days.

Just spitballin' here, but I kind of think the BAIC is either too lazy, too small, or a combination of both to pull the numbers it used to. Maybe a cental/norcal meet or some combination of 'xxIC' to make it a memorable event. Plus you can pool resources, knowledge, and meet people and see cars you wouldn't otherwise.

hmmm CAIC... we owuld have to maybe find something in the central valley... and we would maybe have to book some sort of fair ground as opposed to a park.

^^ A central location would be nice. I'd say you'd need strong vendor/magazine support to give the fence sitters an incentive to *gasp* drive their car someplace other than the KK/In n Out 2 miles from their house.

edit:

Maybe something around Monterey. Could be Nor/Central CA depending on who you ask, easy drive for almost everyone in the area, even those in the Central Valley.

Just an idea.

Damn, I never thought about it that way... Thats totally being a cheap ***!
Well the times I've been it's not been unlimited food and snacks. They have gone fast. The drinks? Big deal I can bring my own from home to last me the entire meet. And for most of the places it's actually $15 when you have to include a parking fee.

Your services are needed at Ernest and Julio Gallo - their production fell short, and you could be JUST the person to put them over the top!!

Let's see, us North Bay people spend an entire tank of gas JUST TO GET DOWN THERE!!! Even with the price of gas being low like it is right now, that's still at least $25 worth of gas.

Your whinemaking skills are over the top, though. I think you'd fit right in with the Gallo family wineries.

Seriously. Not to mention better mileage and a lower octane requirement.

Ive heard people ***** for the last 5 years about how expensive it is for Hammy and they have to pay for parking and they get a ticket on the way tehre and overheat blah blah blah...........

But they show up anyway and have a blast, pay for entrance fee and parking, and dont ***** when they get there ( unless the food ran out, like in '04, and its hot as monkeyballs, as it was in '05 ) The masses are always gonna *****, right up until the ticket purchasing cutoff point looms before them and they all miraculously shutup. Its part of the Hammy tradition, just like almost killing your friends and/or driving your lame *** off the cliff and landing upside down because you think you are Petter Solberg on a road you've never seen.........

Best advice that could possibly be given
