Right off the freeway, away from the city/neighborhoods, and has the dopest view.

I've been debating on have a meet there for some time.. fact I think I will. but it has plenty of space for everyone.

Too small. About 200 spots roughly.

there is however its very populated.

This park in oakland is really big and the bonus is its out in the middle of the Berths/Ports. So not only are you far from neighborhoods and the general city, you can actually have a large scale meet without worrying about pissing people off. not to mention its right off of 880. win win

Depends. Just because last year was small doesn't mean this year will be small as well.

This year could be 115 cars like last year, it could be 320 cars like 3 years ago.

Good luck

Good luck
word. I think location and organization had something to do with the downsize last year.

So you could keep it smaller and lowkey status or try to get back to the direction it was going. Bigger.

Depends on how the crew that's putting it together wants to go with it.

What's wrong with using a fair grounds somewhere and going legit with it. We used the Antioch fair grounds for ours.

Swiss Park can handle a couple hundred cars.
Saddle Rack parking lot can handle a couple hundred cars.
City Beach parking lot can handle a couple hundred cars.

Etc.

I don't see what it HAS to be a park. Look at what a lot of the hot rod car shows do as an example.

Since we have people from all over the bay area in this forum, I figured that some of you would know of some good locations that we could use for our meet. Here are the pre-requisites:

1. Has to be somewhere in the bay area

2. Has to be able to accommodate about 300 cars at least

3. Must have a nice recreation area with grass, etc just like Mt Hammy did (where people can sit, relax, and play). The area has to be able (allow) to have things like "jousting" or whatever games/events that we decide on doing. Normally these games are set up in the grassy recreational area... Along with soccer, frisbee, etc.

4. Electricity is very important, but if the place is great we can overlook that and bring a generator, or use batteries in a big boom box or something because we NEED music... The meet just lacks without it. That's one thing I would have changed last year, no music = sad BAICers.

5. It'd be great to have a location that is remote, or uses a windy road to get to, and/or is away from things like hammy was.

This is priority number 1, without a location we can't do anything so we need to find one and book it so that we can start planning what goes on in the meet. If you can think of any place, please speak up!

as most of you know, usually I run this event and have done so until last year where I couldn't find the time to do it, so our friend Jourdan took over and did last years event by himself. Since it was his first time things didn't turn out exactly like some of you expected but he did a great job for what little he had to go off of. This year we decided to work as a big team to get one hell of an event going for all your BAICers! The team will include Jourdan, Gagan, and myself which means that the event is going to rock!

There are other things I need your guys' help with, but that will come later, for now we need to find a location ASAP.

Thank you BAIC, I look forward to seeing all of you guys and gals at the event! (It will be in late summer like it always is, expect late august/early September)

How sick would it be to rent part of the drive in and make it so WRC footage is being played in the background and use some giant DJ speakers that pump out the sound! Damn, that would be sicker then hell!
