Street racing isn't the cake. I think street racing is stupid actually. Srt, you said you would buy a STi because it would be the king of the street. It probably will dominate most cars on the street, but please, most subaru owners didn't buy their cars to dominate the street. That's just immature.

Maybe the first post represented the SRT-4 driver's ability poorly. It definately represented their attitudes perfectly, backed by your statements. I lose a lot of respect for Dodge. I guess they want to enter a scene where fart cans and stickers are the things to do, by making a car specifically for street racing these ricers. (yeah, WRX ricers exist, and civic ricers definately exist, but neither Honda nor Subaru built the car with this in mind. The civic was built as an econobox, the WRX as a rally based all condition performance vehicle. The SRT-4, a riceboy killer... great job Dodge)

No I do not represent the srt-4 population I tend to get carried away for
sake of argument jabber and I apologize to everyone that felt my misplaced
aggression.... I only bought the srt-4 for a few valid reasons under
20,000 under 6 second 0-60 time and IMO it looks and drives *****in. I
think its a great value. I did not buy my car to race people or brag because
there is ALWAYS someone out there who is faster but theres nothing wrong
with trying to keep up even if I'm car lengths behind. The peeps over here
@ the neon forums are great knowledgable dodge owners and really are not
arogant, atleast not like I can be . I sincerely never wanted to ***** to
anyone about the 2 feuding cars. True the old adage says you get what you
pay for and the sub is worth the 24,500 base price or the 2.5's price. The
srt-4 is no race car and I cannot really compare it to the sub. AWD sti, a
proven force, prodrive all these aimed @ the sub only further prove your
point. Mopar, hell I don't even know **** about them or what exactly but
I do know that the viper is in our dodge lineup and I think if they can make
a badass car for 80 grand they attempted and succeeded in making a badass
littile underdog that overperforms in its home the SCC, all for 20,000.
I mean the trap speeds have been recorded to about 103 MPH all stock. I
think thats amazing.
I dont know why you would buy the STI but if it came with only 250HP I
believe nobody would buy it, right?? so why in gods name would you say
something so ill thought out about buying it to race?? why was the sti made
anyway, it wasn't for value or convenience I'll tell you that right now. It
was made for the a specific target audience of consumers who can afford it
and are younger than 35 (21-34). It was made because there is a demand as
well as a market for fast *** cars you idiot!!! I guess everyone that wants
a fast car is like me wanting a fast car. you don't want to admit it thats
fine but nobody buys a ferrari to drive 65 on the freeway(it's called an
analogy you *** you please don't post back saying I am comparing an exotci

I never ever said you *** that the srt-4 is the perfect well rounded car
if you knew how to read you dense piece of SHU you would grow a brain cell
and realize I never said it is a better machine. My whole point was in
cornering, I will keep up and the power makes up for that in the straight
away after you had the edge going into the turn, coming out of it I would be
right there

2nd the wrx WAS stupid enough to 130mph or atleast try because somehow he
failed to but my car was faster than he was when I hit 130 he was as
non-existent as his AWD features!!! when I slowed to about 90 he tried to
pass me but again, he could NOT side by side I caressed the gas as he
tried to go faster, always one half car lengh in front of him. Slowly,
climbing to 100 then 105 then 115. HIs car could not take the abuse nor the
power to get by. Very simple to those who can read.

It is rice out of the box, just add stickers. if you don't believe this, tell me a better category the srt falls into. it definately doesn't roll with real muscle cars such as the mustang or camaro. it's not a rally car either. face it, you were born into the import community with the riced hondas and whatever. no wonder so many srt-4 drivers act like asses on the road.

HELLO GAGAN: I answered all the quesitons you must have skipped paragraph 25 verse 5(j/k) I said his car outcorners outhandles BUT you cannot just say the srt-4 SUX *** in that department, with light weight Gas charged tokico shocks and other sport tuned components the srt-4 is very good @ handling I have driven svt focus, cobra, the nissan z wrx and even a wrx with sti suspension The wrx is hand down the BEST!!!! 2nd is the srt-4 not the svt focus which is known for handling. Neons traditionally handle well but this is not a neon... if you want to call it that then yourwrx is not a wrx it's only a 2.5 impreza
an evo is only a lancer an svt cobra is only a gt get the picture, Just a neon okay thats your opinion but it iS not.............

 

i dont think i said the srt sucks, i think it handles good but it's more of a straight line racer. obviously not my choice of car, otherwise i would've gotten it. we just don't appreciate extreme attacks toward us just for owning wrx's. trust me if that 16 year old started trash with me just for having a wrx, i would've put him in that ditch myself.
