OK... NO or Yes On Prop 8
Funny... I don't seem to see that on my "marriage certificate"
It says marriage certificate...
To have the legal rights as a married couple, you must be married... which is why we must include m/m and f/f marriages to be fair.
This Prop is out to make it only for m/f, which again isn't fair, cause it is a legal thing.

Here is the break down, I'd like to confirm it for factual reasons.
* Individual Donors, Mormon - 40.40% ($7,615,842.43)
* Individual Donors, Other* - 29.94% ($5,643,497.71)
*Includes “probable” Mormons not yet confirmed.
* Non-Mormon Organizations - 29.66% ($5,592,015.24)
Thats a lot of $

As this is going on - from our lobby I can hear the TV commercial in which proponents for Prop 8 are saying that gay marriage will be taught in schools to children.
Such blatant hate mongering I have never experienced. This is almost as bad as what the blacks of this country had to go through just to say they were 'equal'.

1. Last time I checked - Humans are part of nature so guess what?
2. Check yourself - the Teachers Union doesn't pay the salaries of educators.
3. The TA has not donated a million dollars to this cause, try again.
4. HOWEVER - the Mormon church has donated over 2 million to pass Prop 8.
Hypocrisy much?
"Church members, mostly from California, have made individual donations close to $5 million in support of Proposition 8, counting only donations of more than $1,000, according to one Web site."

That is how you reference a fact: you don't just pull it out of your ***.

On that note anone noticed the ads for no on prop 8 dont mention a single time about the fact that its about gay marraige?
Yes on Prop 8. Personally, I agree with the person on the first page who said it should be a civil union and have people get married from their church. That way religious people can be married if they chose to do so and gays can chose to do so as a civil union. The whole system needs to be fixed in my opinion. Personally, I don't have a problem with gays or anyone, what someone does in their bedroom is their own business. However, I do have a problem with someone shoving their beliefs down my throat, which is what happens on both sides of this proposition. What should happen is civil unions need to have the same benefits as marriage that way gay, straight, whatever can be together in a committed relationship and those who want to be married can do so through a church. But let the people speak, I don't think it was right how four people decided to change a law that should have been voted on in the first place. So at least now, majority can decide what California wants, which is the point of democracy.

Read the prop and itssupporters and the donations posted. yea the TA does not pay teachers saleries you are correct, but they could have helped maybe support those teachers or somthing with that money. You would think a teachers association would be there to do those types of things. As for the hypocracy I would expect churches o support prop 8 due to the fact that in most religions homosexuality is an abomination even if it that way because same sex couples dont produce children that later in life give money to said church but that another conversation. I will say again. You all for the most part took what I had to say as my gospel. I was simply presenting an angle or discssion topic and you are all very quick to take the flame thrower to me. Well FLAME ON FLAME ON maybe if you all ride me hard enough I will run to my room and cry. Bottom line I respect your opinion and will present somthing different if my views are that way. I will never call you ignorant because you may have fallen asleep in 7th grade biology when they talked about bottle nose dolphins being gay and humping for life.

Nice job, picking out one thing and twisting my words. Marriage in my mind is a religious thing, but under the law I think a civil union is more appropriate for anyone. If someone wants to be married by their church that should be a separate issue and a civil union is how it should be recognized under law for anyone, gay, or straight. So, in conclusion, no I DID not say you shouldn't be allowed to marry so stfu and stop being an ***.
