In the eyes of the law it is a marriage. If you are going to argue this point you should know WTF you are talking about.

Um...no...my parents were married at City Hall with a judge and witness.

Should it have been a 'Civil Union'?

Well thats all well and good (its what the Amish do), but when your personal beliefs start cutting down other's rights there is something seriously wrong with your beliefs.

My Ignorance???? Ok lets first start by being civil to one another. I presented a view, an opinion. To be a devils advocate so to say. I gave you your dues but will back that up with marraige the union cerimony "MOST COMMONLY" used by RELIGIONS to join a man and a woman. Occurs naturally? ok so because my male un neuterd french bulldogs screw eachother constantly. Does that make it OK? Here you compare humans twice to animals....Really dude. I also stated I do not think homosexuality was ok. I however do not typically go around and spread that as I am doing here. IMO if youre gay cool more power to you. I will however not condone it my home. I.E. im not going to tell little johnny and jenny its ok for them to go out and be gay. If they happen to grow up that way I will love them just the same however. I firmly believe the right to marry is between a man and a woman. You want to get mad at some one I will give them to you. There were countless teachers layed off last year, yet the california teachers association has 1,000,000 to donate to supporting no on prop 8. Theres somthing to be mad about.

The fact that animals participate in homosexual activities is not comparing humans to animals, it is merely pointing out the fact that homosexuality occurs in nature and is a perfectly normal natural act.

1. Last time I checked - Humans are part of nature so guess what?

2. Check yourself - the Teachers Union doesn't pay the salaries of educators.

3. The TA has not donated a million dollars to this cause, try again.

4. HOWEVER - the Mormon church has donated over 2 million to pass Prop 8.

Hypocrisy much?

"Church members, mostly from California, have made individual donations close to $5 million in support of Proposition 8, counting only donations of more than $1,000, according to one Web site."

-The Daily Herald, Tuesday, 16 September 2008 Link.

That is how you reference a fact: you don't just pull it out of your ***.

Doon't forget about the Knight of Columbus. Why are out of state religious affiliations so concerned about what we do here in California?

Because Most people are born knowing that bumping clams while fun to wach is just as wrong as sodomy. Its just anotomically and idealogically wrong. if it was ok to be gay we would all be hermaphrodites. Who knows if your into darwinism maybe if things keep going the way they are we will all evolve into hermaphrodies. OK OK I hope you all understand I am trying to make light of the situation and I did not mean to offend anyone and am just presenting a view on a topic.
Yeah, and dogs try to procreate with peoples legs all day long, what's your point? It's not natural for procreation? Who says procreation and the need for a M/F to do that is necessary? Is it due to it being "natural"? everything we do is natural, one way or the other, even if some things are not typical.

We're humans, we decide for ourselves, the things we do. But attraction is a biological element, hardwired to your brain. We like certain tastes, smells, and see things we like or dislike. It's just the way it is.

So some people like people of their own sex, not my problem, and it's not really your problem either, it's just your opinion. In the end it's not ok to tell someone they can't do something others can do. If a m/m or f/f meet the same qualifications for legal marriage status as a m/f, then they should be treated as equals and given that right as well.

Them and LDS, they hide their bigotry behind the disguise of religion. Hatred is still hatred no matter how you justify it.
