Why do you consider yourself a "minority"?
Are you not a person?
By using the term "minority", aren't you helping to perpetuate racial disharmony?
My brother in law happens to be black, and boy is it fun to see the look on stranger's faces when I introduce him as such. BTW, this happens whether the stranger is black, white, purple, or mauve.
For what it's worth, I don't consider you a "minority".

Minority,
1. An ethnic, racial, religious, or other group having a distinctive presence within a society.
2. A group having little power or representation relative to other groups within a society.
3. A member of one of these groups. See Usage Note at color.
Since my race falls in that category, I am a minority.
Of course im a person, but read the definition of what a minority is.
My answer would be no. Simply because racial disharmony to me comes from unfavorable treatment to other people of a different race. Since I am a minority I do not see how calling me a minority is a bad thing.
Your brother in law is black, ask him how many times he has been harrased by cops and compare your experience. More than likely, he would of had worse experiences than you.
Don't know why because according to the definition of minority I am one. Their is a distinct, albiet finite, difference between calling someone a minority and a racial slur.

My lenthy reply is from my life experience BEING a minority. I have no racial tensions since i have a wide range of friends....from a variation of social back grounds. So once again your confused and lost.
I think you need to sit down and re-evaluate what you state before you post. Maybe you won't look so stupid anymore.

Your article states that the Republican is making things HARDER for miniorities to vote. Ie not having early voting areas near them etc. So how is it a bad thing that people stand up for their rights? You still have not answered this. Oh and if you read up more on what happened in 2000 a lot of "dirty" things happened in Florida that year. So keep trying maybe one day you'll make a valid point in a argument.
My point is that the Democrats as a whole couldn't give a rat's *** about minorities except for when they get the "minority vote" or a taxable deduction.
Don't kid yourself.

Well, if you're talking about Democrats in office, I have to admit I agree with Helladumb (and Bullworth) on this one...they don't give a damn. But if you're talking about people who vote democratic, then Hella is way off. There are tons of people who care very much about the rights of minorities and many of them vote democrat.
Actually the Democratic party as a whole has helped minorities out more than Republicans, and concidering almost all minority representives in office are Democrats it would stand to say that they DO care about minorities more than just a vote.
