Hey guys Haven't posted in a while... A guy named Greg (or Glenn??) Stoped infront of my house the other weekend while I was cleaning my STi and asked if I ever raced it. HE said he owned Thunderhill and invited me out to the track... I'm assuming its this event??? HE said I could race in a "Yellow" class for beginers?

any info would be apprishiated.

Thank you

Some more good news:

TrackMasters Racing has been offered a killer deal on a date in mid December at Thunderhill. The price was severely reduced because of the time of season, and the fact that we're a VIP customer of the track. We weren't planning on running another T-Hill event this season, but many of you have expressed a desire, so we can make it happen if enough of you are game!

What we need is about 25 to 30 of you at $200 each and you can run ALL DAY! The format will be 30 minute sessions, 1 Advanced with open passing, and another Advanced/Intermediate with Point By Passing for the Intermediates on track who aren't totally comfortable with open passing yet.

We'll run 30 minutes Advanced, 30 minutes Advanced/Int., 30 minutes Advanced, 30 minutes Advanced/Int., etc, etc, etc. All day long! Naturally we'll have to stop for lunch, but that will be for only about an hour. The day will run from 8:30am to 5pm, and you could potentially get 7.5 hours of track time! IF your brakes, tires, and gas card can stand it!

The dates we're looking at are Friday, December 16th, or Sunday, December 18th. We may be able to get Saturday the 17th if another track client gives it up. This event will run 'Rain or Shine'

What do we need from you to make this happen? If you're interested and willing to commit to Rain or Shine event, then Reply to this message and let me know:

1. Willing to commit to Friday, December 16 (Yes/No)

2. Willing to commit to Sunday, December 18 (Yes/No)

3. Willing to commit to Saturday, December 17 (if it becomes available) (Yes/No)

If there's enough interest, then we'll go ahead and book the date and tear up the track one last time this season!

This is a rare opportunity to run with about 30 total cars all day long! And in case you're wondering...'Yes' we will allow you to run in both run groups as long as you obey the passing rules when passing less experienced Intermediates out on course. (we'll have them marked with tape or a large Yellow Dot on the back of their car)

Who can attend? Any Advanced, High Intermediate, and Low Intermediate drivers who have at least 5 events of experience on a road course.

Thanks and reply to the 3 questions above if you're interested. We need firm commitments by end of day Wednesday of we're going to make this happen!

Thanks,

Doug Gale

Another note from our friends at Trackmasters:

We were just informed that Yamaha has cancelled the day before our Dec 1st date and we now have an opportunity to run another pair of back to back days at Laguna Seca - Nov 30 and Dec 1.

Many of you are already registered for the Dec 1 event, and if you haven't received final confirmation regarding your position (waitlisted or not), then you'll be receiving a status message by tomorrow morning.(Tuesday) Those who are running on Dec 1 can also run on November 30 for an additional $250. All other single day drivers for Nov 30 would pay the one day rate of $265.

What we need to know ASAP is how many of you would be interested in running a 2nd day? Or a single day on Nov 30? This will be a 3 run group format vs. the 4 planned for Dec 1st, so there will be a lot more track time on Nov 30.

Running two consecutive days is the best way to attend an event and master a track. For some of us Laguna is a pretty long haul, so two day events are preferred because they don't take any additional time or effort to prepare for and attend.

Okay, enough of the marketing... How many of you are interested and willing to sign-up NOW? We need 56 drivers to break even on the Nov 30th date, so check those calendars and reply to this message by tomorrow - Tuesday! We have 24 hours to make a decision and commit to the track. If we don't have at least 30 ready to sign-up, then we may not take the date. I know I want to be there for two days!

Oh yeah, Advanced, High Intermediate, and Low Intermediate run groups. We may take a handful of Novice drivers as long as they have some prior track experience. Those Novices allowed would run in the Low Intermediate run group with an 'N' on the back of their car.

Thanks, and reply as soon as possible!

There are still a few spots left for the 10/31 unlimitedlaps event at Thunderhill if anyone is interested.

Also, the Subaru day is on for 11/11. $195 for any Subaru owners. Just sign up at http://www.unlimitedlaps.com and choose the Subaru option under 11/11.

Just got this from unlimitedlaps:
