If you hurt that car I'm taking it back.

It was 101 at RFR. The morning is the problem - hot track / cold tires + my bad going into corner = rear end loose then front end loose, then rocks/gravel/dirt.

No damage so you can't take it back Eric!

Well, that's the beauty of Thunderhill and RFR - there isn't much to hit when you go off (for the most part).

Infortunately, Mike K's pretty White Sti was trashed by me...I went 2 tires off in 2 at RFR and kicked up a ton of gravel...His windshield and hood are toast.

I tried to sign up for the LSR weekend next month, but may not make the cut. 150+ people have tried to sign up!

FYI:

As many of you are aware, we will be running a Car and Motorcycle event at Laguna Seca on Sept. 10th and 11th. Many of you are already registered for that event, and some of you are waiting for spaces to come available this Friday. (BTW - we'll probably have 25 of them to offer waitlisted drivers)

Today I was informed that we can also have the Friday before the event(Sept 9th) if we want it! This was another Mazda day that is not going to be used by Mazda and/or it's employees. That said, if we want the date, we need to jump on it in the next 24hours!

So here's the deal... Below I've listed 2 options that we could pursue for the Friday. If we can get enough of you to commit to one and/or the other, then we'll take the date and put on 3 back to back days at Laguna! Wow! Bring plenty of tires and brake pads!

The format for Option 1 would be:

- 3 run groups and lots and lots of track time! (Advanced, High Intermediate, Low Intermediate)
- Approximately 60 drivers (20 per run group)
- No pre-arranged instruction, except for Advanced driver volunteers at the event
- No drivers with less than 4 events experience (you would run in Low Intermediate)
- Lunch will not be provided, but can be purchased from the 'Cruz'n Cafe' in the paddock.
- Cost = $290

The format for Option 2 would be:
- 2 run groups and and even more track time! (Advanced & Intermediate)
- Approximately 45 drivers (22 or 23 per run group)
- No pre-arranged instruction, except for Advanced driver volunteers at the event
- No drivers with less than 4 events experience
- Lunch will not be provided, but can be purchased from the 'Cruz'n Cafe' in the paddock.
- Cost = $400

The sound limit for this event will most likely be 92db, but this will not be confirmed until tomorrow.(Thursday) If it isn't set at 92db, then it will be a 90db day.

If you're interested in this event and are willing to commit to Option 1 and/or Option 2, then Reply to this message immediately with the following feedback:

1. Are you willing to attend if Option 1? Y/N

2. Are you willing to attend if Option 2? Y/N

3. Don't care, you'll attend if either Option? Y/N

4. Is sound an issue for you? In other words, if we get stuck with a 90db day, will sound keep you from attending? Y/N

Again, time is of the essence here and we need to get an answer back to the track sometime before end of business tomorrow.(Thursday)

Thanks and check those calendars!

I'd do it... but I would really prefer to make it through the wait list for the 2 days already listed. One is better than none though. I already sent Doug my reply.

I've been checking the site, its not open yet, and Thursday is over. I think I'll do this and experience Sears Point before gas hits $10 a gallon.

I haven't been following this thread closely... so forgive me for asking a question instead of going back and reading.

Is anyone making the Trackmasters event on 9/10-11 at Laguna Seca? I'm going, but it looks like I may be the only Reno-ite going. Anyone from Sac gonna make it?
