Kinda hot to get much done today, going to wake up at the crack of dawn and get more done. Still waiting for battery, but we installed to seats and harnesses, they feel awesome. new gas pedal and cable should be here thursday. need to pick up some race gas, but should be running by this weekend. then to the body shop for roof & paint!
/\ I left the trim loose, waiting to install Kartboy SS.
\/ SS STI clutch line
It got too dark and I couldn't get any good pictures, I make sure to get some good ones tomorrow, should have all the carbon bits and exterior bolted on.
I have the correct radiator fan now, I have a new coolant overflow bottle, Gas pedal & cable, plus a couple other parts that should be here by the end of the week.

Grrrrr. well, finally had a day in the past four weeks that hasn't hit 110F or hotter, in only was 109.
And to add insult to injury, I just realized the alternator I have won't work with the 98 front chassis harness, the Alternator on the JDM and my old 01 were 3-wire alternator plug, the current 98 chassis plug only has two plugs. So I'm going to see about having a custom 90-100 amp, two prong alternator, and hopefully should work with the rest of the car. Battery was shipped to wrong address, should be here by mid next week.

Well, I think after a couple dozen phone calls to people that may know, I think I have an answer to the problem, and my friend tyler said he found my gas pedal and cable, so I may be able to get back on track. So this is the plan, take the 3-wire plug off of the 01 front chassis harness, and re-pin it with the two wires from the 98 front chassis harness. It should work. If the third wire becomes necessary, I can always run a wire to hook it up.
Need to route the Utec map switch and intercooler sprayer switch, and the I should be able to button up interior.

I can't tell you how much this heat sucks big huge donkey *****!
But more progress has been made. I picked up the CF battery, nice piece. Also picked up and installed the new WRX gas pedal and cable. all the pedals are hooked up, except now I need that silly $5 L bracket that holds the cable to the intake manifold, so I have to order that monday, should be here thursday. Short shifter and bushing should be here monday. I picked up the connectors from the subaru wire repair kit, so I have to re-wire the alternator plug this weekend. I'm going to modify the stock battery mounts to work with the smaller battery. It's bigger than the last battery, but should last and work better. and the CF casing looks sweet.
After I get the engine a little more together, I'm going to pull the fenders and front bumper back off so I don't damage them. Lift the car on jack stands, and bleed the clutch and brakes, install the new ball joints, and the front sway bar end links. I can get the toe a little more straight, it's way off right now, looks funny with the smaller, narrow wheels. It got too dark to get good pictures, as always, I'll try and get better ones in the morning. Doors are on, need to adjust the glas a hair but they fit great, the gaps look nice and even, and it's amazing how light they feel once mounted, it's almost funny.
/\ Those are the old fenders, waiting until after I deal with all the fluids (brake, clutch, PS, coolant) before I install the new fenders and secure the front bumper, They're all Fiberglass and I don't want to damage them before painting.

Here's how she's sitting now, going to get back to work on it later today after it cools down a bit.
Picked up the JDM rear plate holder, it's that rare yellow, don't know how to spell it, cashmire? doesn't matter, it's getting re-painted.

So I have 95% of the wiring routed and secured now. I'm going to do the Alt. wiring in the morning. Need to find a WRX/STI radiator mount. Picked up the fuel line, need to install in the morning as well. Figured out the battery mounting, should work good. going to use one of the Hella supertones for my horn, the stock one is just too wimpy. The Short shifter & Rear bushing was packaged wrong, Recieved a front and rear bushing. Shifter should be here by Wed., Need to find the EDFC harnesses and finish hooking the coilovers asap. It's gonna be hot this week, but I should be able to get it all buttoned up and ready for the body shop. Would like to get the brakes and clutch bled too, so I can install the intercooler.
