/\ Thanks! It feels good to finally see it coming together. Had a couple friends over lending they're expertise to get this thing going. I had these big, gaping holes where the previous owner had ran piping for a front mount. I'm using the top mount, so I had an idea of making plates to cover the holes and mount the HID ballasts to. I cleaned up the holes, and my friend Evan made these plates for me at his work. I think they look great, and functional too.

There's just enough clearance that you can still access the airbox cover clip.

It was getting late so we called it a night. We didn't get the alternator wired in, So I didn't install the battery yet, But I did get the Kazama voltage stabilizer mounted to the battery. Tyler re-wrapped the rear harness in the trunk, we're trying to make the interior all black in the back, which mean keeping the wiring from standing out visually. Bled the clutch, Installed the new fuel lines, and filled up the coolant. going to bleed the brakes, get a can of race gas, and check all the fluids in the morning. I had to order a new wrx radiator mount, I couldn't find one, also ordered a new battery tray, should be here so time next week. Short shifter should be here any day.

It was another Really Hot day. Picked up 5 gal. of 100 oct. fuel, Brakes are bled, fixed the Front Toe, Installed Kartboy short shifter, Alternator is re-wired, and HID wiring is routed. Going to install new ball joint, front endlinks, the intercooler, Battery, and drill mounting holes for the Radiator mounts in the morning. Then we should be able to fire this beast up!

Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great news. Installed the new ball joint, front fenders, belt cover, battery, and the map switch, and She run's! purrs like a kitten (with no exhaust). I just got home, picked up some Enos (sp?) oil and Redline Trans. fluid. Going to put fluid in the read diff and trans, and take it for a test drive. Still waiting for the upper radiator mounts, but I have a metal shroud and one bracket to hold it for now, the new bracket should be here early next week. Still need to install the headlights and front bumper, but it's running great.

/\ lol, not any time soon. It's was funny, It has no hood, windshield, roof, back glass, or trunk, and it was night. but I drove it down the street. The brakes needed to be re-bled, but I got it back home safely. The HID look and work great, very pleased with those. Going to bolt on front bumper and still have a few more things to do before it goes to paint & body, but it shouldn't take long.
Man, this thing is solid, feels like a go kart. I didn't really dip itno any boost, but it was a really fuzzy feeling driving the Ver. 8 GC8 (GM6, whatever ) again.

I have a few little parts that will come in next week (1 radiator mount, throttle cable clips), but it's ready to go to the body shop. I have to order a new harness for the EDFC, but that shouldn't take too long to get. Once I get it back from paint, I'm going to install the EDFC, Gauges, Front strut brace, Kartboy rear shifter bushing,JIC Ti exhaust, new wheels and BBK. Then corner balance it. get an Alignment. Set date for re-tune, and install new air filter, Eneos oil, JUN WG actuator and Prodrive Boost solenoid. Then take it to the track an see what it can do.

/\ Couldn't agree with you more. This is my 3rd RS, I'm trying to make it the best I can. I threw some more race gas in it yesterday and fired it up, it's sooo loud and mean sounding with just the DP! I need to tweek the front toe a little more, and I want to double check all the bolts once I get it back from paint. I'm thinking should be race-ready by Halloween, I don't know if i'll have to trailer it there, depends on if I can get all the Registration BS dealt with. It should pass emmissions, no problem, I just don't know what the deal will be with the safety inspection at the DMV. I Think it has everything it needs, I have to go over the list one more time.

Battery tray and new radiator mount came in today, I already installed the new radiator mount earlier. I have 2 new wheel studs and the Throttle cable clips on the way, should be here later this week. Also have a new hood prop on the way. Topped off fluid levels, threw a bottle of redline water wetter in the coolant.

I didn't think the PIAA corner lights went well with the HID's, So I picked up these amber LED's. I think they look good.
\/ Front bumper isn't bolted on, I'm taking it off when I put it on the trailer.

/\ Me too.

I installed the C-west grill I had lying around, looks good. I also ordered a stock RS grill, I think it will complement the bumper better. I installed the Throttle cable clips, still have to install the 2 new wheel studs, I think i'm going to hold off until I get it back from the body shop. I'm getting excited, I can't wait to get it back and finish things off. It's been almost a year since the last one was wrecked, I'm looking forward to driving the Beast again!
