The one I'm going to is in Alameda. But there are some others in Fremont, San Jose and up in north bay Santa Rosa I "think". If you need to call and make an appointment its this # (800)-622-7733 They'll be able to tell you where the closest location is to where you live.

I decided to postpone my state ref appointment cause I keep getting cel p0136 for my rear o2 sensor. The sensor is getting replaced under warranty but I have to wait till next week sometime till I recieve it. Once the new sensor is in and I drive for a week with no cel then I'll make another appointment.

Bout time for a freakin' BuMMMp..
The problem I was having with p0136 was not because my rear o2 was bad it was that the wiring going to it was not in the right electrical resistance range for my ECU. This should be all fixed up soon once they put my interior back together then drive my car to run the o2 sensor monitor, then I'll be all good for the ref.
In the meantime I had painted a set of 00RS wheels gunmetal with Duplicolor wheel paint. I prepped, primered, painted and clearcoated them. Turned out looking awesome but once I put the lugs on the paint cracked and I noticed it was not as durable as I would have liked. So I have stripped off all the Duplicolor and most of the oem paint down to the bare metal. There is still some left so in the next week or two I'll be sandblasting all 4 wheels to get an even finish then eventually take them in for powdercoating. Sorry for the ****ty pics I didn't have the good camera with me today.

I got my car back yesterday with the o2 sensor issue fixed. Turns out all the diagrams they had showed pins from the harness side but the one he got for the o2 showed from the other side. So got the wires changed around and now all should be good.
I can breathe a sigh of relief that all my monitors have run and are now ready. No CEL's or nothing, running flawless as of now. I'll wait another week or so just to make sure nothing else comes up.. then I'll make my ref appt since I doubt I'll have any problem passing now.
This shot is from my Innova 3100 OBDII scanner while hooked up to my car:

I went ahead and made my ref appointment since I've already drove enough, if there was something wrong I would have got a cel by now.
Scheduled for this Thursday at Alameda College, expecting to pass with flying colors wish me luck!

No you can prep a already painted wheel then put on primer + paint + clearcoat. I just decided I wanted mine sandblasted to see if I like the bare metal look, if not then they'll get powdercoated. You can use any of the various wheel paints out there but I had bad luck with the Duplicolor so I decided to start over.
