I am getting very close to being ready for tuning. Just changed my oil and got this stuff just chilin waiting to be installed for the tune..

Ebay TMIC
Colder plugs
Cobb AP

Once I get this issue figured out I'll get tuned asap: https://www.i-club.com/forums/engine-management-66/car-wont-boost-now-any-ideas-140361/

^ this is the reason why my untuned dyno run was so low

Hey about your swap. I just picked up an 2001 2.5RS and I am wanting to put a newer STI motor and tranny in it. I read through your post but you dont have much on how the swap was done except that you took it to a shop and they did it. Do you have any more details on this? If not could you pls pm me the e-mail addy and phone number to the shop that did this for you. Thanks.

BTW your car is really fing nice man. Keep up the good work.

What do you mean how the swap was done?

If you mean what labor was required then...

they swapped in a turbo crossmember
replaced my clutch
swapped in the wrx engine
merged a wrx wiring harness with my rs harness
put everything back together

(obviously its more complicated than just that but thats the basic idea)

The shop is:

GT Automotive
2025 Freedom Blvd.
Freedom CA 95019

Clutch started slipping on the dyno today at 15 psi. Time for a new one I'll post back what happens after its replaced and I get tuned again.

Damn, its always something right?!?!? Looking foward to your results. What clutch you going with? I replaced mine with another stock assembly and flywheel at ~50K miles.

I was using a Spec Stage 1 clutch (SU071) rated at 302 tq capacity, dunno why it decided to slip.
http://www.specclutch.com/

I just ordered a ACT clutch kit today, street disc rated at 304 tq capacity but has a stiffer pressure plate than Spec. Holds the power on my friends V2 swap, sure better hold what my ej205 has to offer.

^ And no I didn't order it from here lol

I'll have the clutch in my hands before the end of the week, then this weekend the transmission will get pulled.

My clutch came in today.

Threw the car up on jackstands and got started with the minor stuff. Removal of tmic, catback, driveshaft plate, front wheels and unplugging all the connectors going to the tranny. I'll take care of all the other lil stuff tmr and saturday then pull the tranny sunday. I'll probably have to wait till next week to put the tranny back up cause I think the shop that can resurface my flywheel is gonna be closed sunday.

Tranny is out! Taking in the flywheel tomorrow for resurfacing. Hopefully get it done quick after I get it back. Anyone have tq specs for the flywheel bolts and clutch bolts?

Wow I got my resurfaced flywheel back with quickness from The Parts House in Fremont. Did it for 30 bucks and pressed in my new pilot bearing. I'm almost ready to install the new clutch but I decided to order the PDM clutch sleeve repair kit because the shaft where my throwout bearing goes has grooves worn into it from the previous bearings. If you have this problem too you can get it from here: http://www.tarmac-usa.com/

btw.. I looked up the torque specs for the pressure plate and flywheel

pressure plate 13lbs
flywheel 53lbs

New ACT is broken in and working well, no slippage under WOT which is good.

Mike is finishing up my tune this Wednesday, can wait to see how she's gonna run!!
