Uh well the shop doing them in San Jose is really backed up with orders last I heard. I was supposed to have the wheels this week but its not happening. They are working on some other huge order of powdercoated parts (nothing auto related) and there's still like 16 other sets of wheels that need to get done up along with mine. I shall see next week. But I do have something else coming in this weekend, I'll keep you posted.

Oh and the deal with my wheels is the color I chose, "stardust silver" is way more expensive of a coating than I realized. So I went by the powdercoaters and picked out a similar color that is more in my price range. Looks like I'll be waiting another week for my wheels *doh*.

Just a silver metallic, but it looks darker than the color of stock wheels. I would have chose something better but I don't feel like waiting another week for them to order the coating then another week to get them done.

I got my wheels back today. They told me it was going to be another week but I ended up getting them the next day lol.
But beside that, they came out really nice. More or less the color I wanted, right in between oem silver and anthracite/steel grey. They look much better in person though than in this pic. Its still not what I originally intended for the color but it works for me
Tomorrow they'll get mounted with some 215/45/16 Azenis and if I have enough time, swing by AI for alignment.

Here's what they look like mounted. I think from the photos it's too hard to tell the color, ends up just looking like stock. I'd have to get a stock colored wheel side by side with them so show the comparison.

I finally got to throw the car on a dyno today to see what its putting down in its current state.
Mods:
Uppipe
3''Catted tbe
Y-pipe
Crank pulley
Panel filter
The car is running a stock untuned 02 wrx ecu. The pulls were done with 91 octane from 76 and outside temp approx 80-85 degrees. The dyno used was a Mustang located at EIP Racing in San Jose.
This ended up getting me..
More or less this is what I was expecting considering the car is not tuned yet. I'll get another dyno run later this summer after some other goodies + tuning.

About 3 weeks ago I installed a Cusco catch can I picked up off another member on here. It's about the only thing "bling" in my engine bay now lol. Other than that I also got a ebay tmic made by ssautochrome.
I don't have any pics of it installed cause I ran it for 3 days still w/ stock ecu and my car was detonating like a sob under boost. Right now I'm using the stock tmic until I go in for tuning then I will switch back to the bigger tmic.
ssautochrome tmic
The fitment wasn't too great. I got all the brackets lined up and the turbo outlet hose but for some reason there was no way for me to get the throttle body hose straight... it was angled to the right by a few degrees, nothing major though. After install my hood would not close all the way so I ended up having to slice out this section of metal.

Whoa, gnarly how you cut the hood! haha, I wouldnt have had the guts to do that. Those SS top mounts look pretty nice. You're gonna love it when you get the tune...whole new car
Catch can will do some good too. When I changed out intercoolers, I noticed built up oil/sludge on the ic elbows and hoses. How was the install?

On the install I had to loosen the right side ic bracket to get it to line up right. Also had to trim the silicone elbow cause it was too long when I fit it over the turbo. For the tb I had to go out and buy my own connector for that and trim it, got a blue one from atp turbo. Scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 7 cause each connection or bracket / bolt needed some sort of adjustment and I had to cut my hood. No big deal though, my hood is steel and weighs a ton so I wasn't trippin about cuttting out a section. I think I might be the only one whos installed this tmic on a gc swap so far?
