Recon ?

Will I need a recon if I install a swaybar in my car? Sounds like recon is very strict.

Don't quote me on this but I think any modification to the suspension that causes the vehicle to handle or drive differently will need a recon. Not sure but.

Just dont tell the inspector about it. But you might not pass a bounce test.

He won't be sent to recon if the suspension looks stock. Doubt they will notice a sway bar.

Its like he said its up to the safety check inspector and most won't look unless they can tell. Just letting you guys know now with the new safety check system is the inspector fails you for suspension and you decide go to a different station to see if they would pass you. The inspector there will punch in your VIN number it will show that you failed for suspension at the other station. It sucks but that's how it is now.

Car Info: my wife crazy with buying parts
Jeabus people. Just don't install the part till after safety. If it's crazy colors paint it black with plastidip, roll it around in dirt and call it a day. Keep stock parts for the following year. Take the risk in between that you're not stopped for mods. Sometimes you're failed even for stock parts and that's just what you gotta deal with at the time. **** I got failed for forester suspension. Didn't stand out just the inspector knew it was a wrx and wrx's are supposed to be low. Solution...went to a ................. and passed
