Help! No fuel

2006 wrx limited. Soooo today I was in my car parked, car normal idle and then car shuts off. Turns over but doesn't want to start. Me and sumatic used some starting fluid, she fired. Sooo it's a fuel problem. Check the fuzes. Good to go. Check the relays under the passenger side dash. Good. (Can feel them click on when you turn the key) so I take the cover off the pump in the trunk to see if I can hear the pump turn on when sumatic turns the key. No sound. Ok too easy. I replaced the fuel pump. Still no sound. Also when I plug my Cobb into it, the Cobb does not recognize that there's an ecu.... Sooooo. Yeah. Can someone please help me?!!

I would check the Purge Valve and Evap Solenoid.

Why purge valve and evap solenoid? I dont see why that would cause a no start. Please explain.

My assumption at this point is main relay.

Some other stuff to check:

1. check your grounds on the harness

2. remove your rear seat and check the fuel relay

3. for the COBB AP not reading the ECU, recheck the fuse. It should be the same fuse that's shared with cig lighter. When in doubt, use a multi meter or replace the fuse.

When the canister purge valve is failing the engine often begin to choke. The fuel vapors are building up inside the charcoal canister and pushing into the engine cylinders, causing the engine to choke and not start.

Correct but doesn't address why the fuel pump isn't priming.

Need to diagnose why the fuel pump isnt getting power/ a signal. Time to pull out a multi meter and get to testing/tracing.

Check rear O2 sensor for damage in wiring. I know you said fuze was good but mine had a small nik and it blew my SBF No. 5 fuze I believe it was.

The main relay should be right next to the fuel relay under passenger dash. A brown brick. Mine clicks with key turns. Check for resistance

Are you sure the second pump you tried wasnt DOA? Might want to check it. I know how unlikely that sounds, but it happened to me. I had 2 bad walbro pumps in a row and thought i was loosing my mind one time.

Check and see if the fuel pump from a 2005 wrx works for your car. If so I got one that I know works that you can borrow. That it you hook some wire up to the existing pump outside the car and tap battery.........fuel will shoot out.......don't let it go toward spark........have fire extinguisher on standby

Both fuel pumps were working properly, hooked them straight to battery and both worked. We did not have enough time to check other things, but since i work full time and never have time to go out and t/s it and because its his daily, hes gna be sending it in to servco, its covered under warranty anyways.
