Perrin Fuel Rails and SX Fuel Pressure Rehulator....
Ok guys. I have the Perrin fuel rails installed, but I need some help in getting the SX FPR installed in conjunction with them. My first problem is that if I mount the SX fpr where the stock fpr goes it looks like the hood will not close. Secondly, the lines and fittings on the Perrin rails and too small to fit onto the SX fpr. Basicaly, if anyone has used the SX fpr can you post some pics? Also, does anyone have a list of fittings and lines that I will need?
Thanks alot!

They actually aren't threaded at all. The lines are attached to barbs w/ Oetiker clamps.
To hook up your SX FPR, you need to the fpr mount/fuel inlet piece that came with your Perrin rails (mounted on top of the intake manifold). You need to cut the clamps off and remove the 2 hoses (one is feed, one is return).
This will allow you to hook up your SX FPR. Just run one of the lines to the fuel filter and one of the lines to the FPR. You will have to be creative in mounting the FPR and running the neccesary hose. You should be able to get a host of barb fittings at a good plumbing accesories store and then use some Autozone (or the like) fuel hose.
---------------------
Since that is such a PITA, I did something a little simpler. You can run down to your neighborhood tuning-shop and pick-up a B&M Command Flo for a honda civic. It's very easy to modify the stock FPR to accept it --- voila, adjustable fuel pressure.
I've had mine this way for about 9 months now and it works great. I run 2.75 bar of FP at idle, 50psi static. The stock FPR once modified flows plenty of fuel to your rails.
NOTE: An SX FPR is a better overall option than the "hack" i've suggested above. However, I believe that its benefits at my current level of fuel flow (see specs below) are not worth the trouble.
I run
-----
STI Injectors, Perrin rails, hacked FPR, Supra fuel pump.
PE1818, Link, TXS TMIC, etc...
50 psi static
91% IDC at 1.25 bar (10.5-10.8:1 AFR)

i am referring to the threads in the fuel rails that the barbs have on the other end. you know.. the threads on the barbs so you can screw it into the fuel rail.

STEALTH: That is a good point. You could just remove all of the Perrin lines and start from scratch. I wonder if earls has appropriate sized fittings... that would be a very nice setup.
I assume you could also go w/ barbs, rubber lines and clamps. This would save a great deal of money, but you'd better make sure your connections are tight.
silverscooby: If you don't have injectors yet, I would recommend you get the 650s. It will give you a good bit of room for more fuel.
The STI injectors still allow you to put down somewhere north of 300@ wheels. I would think that your setup (really the VF22) would limit your power to something near that. If you've got them already, might as well try it first (just watch IDC).
Can you tell me more about the block you're building? I'm definatley curious.

I went with a Cobb Tuning stage 2 block. I already have it and it is in the car as we speak. Here is a link to more detailed info. The link states that it is a 8:1 compression ratio, but I went with a 8.5:1

I was going to go with the 2.5L but the wait time was longer than I had patience for. I've been without my car since Thanksgiving!
I already have the Sti injectors in the car as well as the VF22. I think that I am going to just route the Perrin rails to the stock fpr for now because of time restraints.
I have the feeling that the STi injectors on the stock fuel pressure is going to limit my horsepower a good deal. Also the VF22, as you said, will be close to maxed out as well. I think I will hang tight with my current setup then switch out after a couple months. At this point, I will be very happy with 300whp on 93 octane.
Here's what I have now, and what I plan on swapping in the future....
VF22 ------------------------------ AVO450 or maybe a T3/T4 hybrid
STi injectors --------------------- pe650's or maybe larger
TXS TMIC ------------------------- APS or MRT FMIC
Perrin Rails & Stock FPR ------- Perrin Rails & SX FPR
Of course, thats another 3 grand.....
