my setup isn't a matched pair either because the idiots that I bought it from damaged my trans with a fork lift (version 7 manual center diff no dccd). so I have a 2003 JDM STI Suretrack DCCD trans. that mated up with my JDM version 7 engine with no problems.
you may be able to reuse your old oxygen sensor from your old engine. you may need to look at the wiring harness and switch the wires around though.
i'd try to bleed your clutch first. reason being is that if you have a faulty snap ring (which josh had on his wagon) we ended up separating the engine/trans like 5 times before realizing it. the problem was that as we bled the clutch would disengage on it's own. the clutch kit was new but the snap ring included was defective. we used a old one and it was fine. Once you get the clutch properly bled, finish off what's required for the engine and trans then worry about the rest... your check list is a must!!!

Clutch is new so no snap ring problems there.
On another note.... today I routed some more wiring hooked up the misc hoses that were loose connected the grounds and fired it up ...... IT RUNS!!!!
Now all I need to do is button it up and tie off all the loose ends and I'll be finished.
