This thread was about STI vs. SVT and again it comes down to better technology from a smaller Japanese car vs. Bigger muscle American car. The decieding factor will always be the driver stock vs. stock and this has been proven. You will keep arguing for your side but you will be wrong because remember the STI beat the Cobra. What's the best time in the STI? 13.0 @ 103mph something like that.
Best time run in a stock 03/04 Cobra is 12.5 @ 113 mph. i think i've seen a 12.4 but that's real rare, probably changed tire pressure.


oh and the totally gay pos american shelby has the Ford GT engine FYI. Guess what!!! they're gonna underrate it too!!! no way !! so people who buy the GT don't get pissed they could have the same engine and drivetrain for half the price. The engine will probably put out 500 but exhaust and computer settings will be restricted. A pulley change, full exhaust or i'm sure Kenne Bell will have a brand new supercharger out for 1300+hp. oooo wee and that's not even with nitrous.....

my car can run a 13.0 and i know i'd get my *** handed to me by an 03 after 2nd gear!! so if i race an 03 at the track and get a better et i don't go around saying my car is faster!! lol. don't be stupid.

meaning if you drive your sti at the track and run 13.1 and then drive an 03 cobra at the track and run 12.7, shouldnt that tell you something.

 

Understand the basic's of math. There are to many variables to determine an equal driver, such as(i.e., humidity, elevation, barometric pressure). Oh wait a minute you are the guy that came up with the new radical theory on how to determine a cobra is faster than an STI,

I know I shouldn't expect you to understand basic algebra just like how you had know clue about SAE corrections and you still don't understand them. This only shows how stupid you realy are. You will never find equal drivers, maybe relatively close. No matter how close though, the STI was show to beat the cobra stock for stock. You can come up with these 12.5 times all day but you will only be fooling youself, because what was tested and all the facts that came out you will never be able to change.

Thats funny cause I took out a LS2 2005 gto and it was defanitly not faster than the STI. And yes the STI was picked as the better car over the gto, just like the cobra. Makes you mad dosen't it. The people that test these vehicles have more driving experience, track experience, and mechanical experience than you will ever have. Remember you are just a know nothing kid that has not shown one ounce of proof that the cobra beat the STI stock vs. stock, but it was shown that the STI beat the cobra in the 1/4 and on the track. End of story. You lost this conversasion when you never backed up anything you said. You are a little bi+ch, and think about getting your head out of your a$$ before you argue against facts. Back your statements up with written and tested proof not your opinion or comments like how you know an 03 is faster than your car so it would pull away from an STI cause your 260 whp 98 can run a 13.0 1/4. in its class?? now I am confused?? awd vs. rwd? v8 vs flat 4 turbo?? now i am not the brightest monkey here but are these not two seperate classes? also now let me get this straight you dont even own a 03 cobra yet? but you say what you can do with it to take an sti out if you had one? isnt that like bragging about how big your buddies ***** is and how he bangs the **** out of some females, but you really dont have one so you brag about someone elses kills? i have already stated my personal beliefs here on what would win in a 1/4 race stock vs stock. yeah sure like you said that the stang would be just realing in the sti towards the end of the 1/4 but hey its who crosses the finish line first and not what happens after. and if they were to race best of 10 so we could weed out driver error I would easily give the sti 8 out of the 10 wins. again facts are facts and these guys here have brought nothing but facts to the table to include going to a stang site and asking veterans what certain stangs of certain years in stock form can put down as far as whp and not crank.
