yeah i have pics on srt forums white evo and black srt-4. the evo didnt like the rsx-s so i got him an srt to play with. realy im building the hell out of my evo it goes in to the shop as soon as the rods and pistons come the rest of the internals are there. it will be apart for a couple weeks get the head worked and im getting the new piston and head coated with that swain tech gold coat. i wanted to turbo my rsx-s but that seems to be a pain in the with not big gains unless u up grade internals. so it traded it on an srt-4 it atleast has front lsd and turbo where the rsx-s doesnt so easier to up grade.
this weekend me and gaboon are gonna take pics of his wrx,my srt-4 and evo together and he will probably post them on nas ill see if i can get him to post some in here.
on the srt forums go to war stories and look for a post srt vs evo posted by basic i would have used basic here but it was already taken. it has pic of my cars together.

i have turbo back and intake on it now. i have boost controller mounted but not hooked hks evc v. grounding kit, rod bearings, pauter heavy weight rods pauter quote at 1,100 hp, aires psitons 9.1, rings, timing belt, ur cam gears, boost guage, egt gauge, oil pressure, tit retainer and springs, waiting on jun cams were gonna put them in later other little parts i cant think of right now i order this stuff a month ago atleast aires set 20mm over pistons so had to send them back. When we ordered the rods pauter wasnt releasing them for 2 week after.
next im buy aem ems, and fuel system then gonna tune to see what we can get on stock i/c and turbo.
then i/c upgrade and turbo kit.
i couldnt get the power right now probably none just setting up the engine first getting it ready for the boost.

Mitsubishi Motors and our dealers strive to be reasonable in evaluating each customer' s vehicle that is brought into a dealership for a possible warrantable condition in order to provide excellent customer service. We give the benefit of the doubt to everyone and appreciate their respect for the terms and conditions of our warranty. Mitsubishi does not have any automated web search system looking for Lancer Evolutions involved in race events. This is absolutely false.
Mitsubishi clearly states in its Owner's Warranty and Maintenance booklet that problems or failures related to racing, alteration and/or vehicle modifications are not covered conditions. This policy is standard throughout the automotive industry, and is even less restrictive than some manufacturer warranties, such as BMW and Subaru, that prohibit operating a vehicle in any type of competitive event.
If a Lancer Evolution is brought to Mitsubishi Motors dealer for a diagnosis as to a possible warrantable condition and the dealer determines that modifications were made that may have caused the problem, or could be instrumental in causing future problems, the repair will not be covered. The dealer and if necessary, MMNA staff, investigate each case, always giving the owner the benefit of the doubt. If the dealer does indeed find that serious vehicle modifications have been made that relate to a vehicle problem and/or damages, then it is possible that a restriction will be placed on that vehicle's warranty coverage as it relates to the specific modification, damaged component(s) and impacted vehicle systems. The entire vehicle warranty is not voided.
the link is at the top but i pretty much copy and pasted it all
subi just gives you a free member ship to scca they dont cover what you break while doing it. no car company in there right mind would cover a car that is raced autox may not be hard on a car but some people are just bad drivers and hard on cars.

I have help from pat at J.A. Performance with the labor hes great he was a huge help with my wrx. he also gets me great prices on prices on parts. i hate guessing hp but im shooting for 550 to 600 hp but i want it to run that all the time not just on c16. were trying to get it to run on 94 but we will see how it goes. i was shooting 450 with my wrx we made 420 with 17% drive train loss and it ran that on 94. grounding wires help alot with the E.D. on my wrx running high boost i dont know why but they also fixed it on gaboons wrx. better spark more power to the plugs no clue they just worked.

i do not believe i have ever seen a friendly debate. so why close the thread or say that this thread is going to the dumpster? this is great discussion.
STi vs EVO
items that you should consider before you purchase:
1. warranty
2. durability
3. comfort
4. appearance
5. performance!
6. and price
my opinion is bias, however i believe that the STi is still the better bang for the buck and like a vast majority of you i once had to make the decision between the two 4wd sedans. It really came down to which of the two vehicles i liked as far as appearance was concerned. Was a very difficult decision, and with the subaru i felt like i was getting more for my money =)

Evo vs STI
Both cars are awesome in their own way. The price tag is the major difference. In the southwest, the STI cost almost 6k more than an EVO. The STI has more power, yet the EVO is more agile. It really comes down to what the driver really wants. Both cars are stupid fast with lots of potential, but still it comes down to the driver.
