the subaru is made better and will hold its value much better than anything with mitsubishi's name on it.

 

I'm not going to apologise to anyone of you for liking what I like. I am free to chose what I want. Don't get me wrong I'm a big fan of AWD cars, that is why I got a REX in the 1st place. But frankly in my mind the REX doesn't match up and the STi is plain ugly interior (what's with the blue upholstry and carpet) and exterior (ugly hood scoop and headlights) and pink (cherry blossom red) on a car is just wrong. Its really pathetic and lame see some of you just hate others on what they like, grow up ..... what business is it of your's what I want to do? Ever heard of the expression "live and let live"?
BTW, I think I'm putting my 03 stock REX up for sale .......

 

I'm biased, but the EVO looks externally like a crappy little car while the Sti has truly good looks, especially in stock form. The lines, the size, the functional hood scoop...it's just smooth.

 

i'm sure mitsubishi has worked everything out. but i really don't like the vents on the hood. my friend has one and the headers are already super rusty. rain goes directly on the headers through the vents. i think evos rock in terms of performance but i question a lot of their design concepts.

 

I could go with either of them. I had a 99 Eclipse GSX and I have a 99 VR4, but I am more inclined to get the STi for the simple reason that I've had Mitsus already. I would like to test drive both though, and it will just be a matter of how the car relates to your driving and what you want from it.

I'm gonna go with thebankman on the looks of the evo. It looks like someone put cf wing on a fleet car. I have never driven an evo so i can't comment on their performance but I just like the looks of the Sti better. As for Daworstplaya, why did you do make the same mistake lots of people make you came in and bashed a car in its own forum and then got mad when people hammered you for it. Obviously you can think and feel anyway you want but don't expect people to jump up and down when you share your negative opinions. Good luck selling your WRX

 

For all you lame-os out there, please carefully read what I have posted before talking crap. I do OWN a Subaru and that is why I post here. BTW, if you were too stupid to figure it out, alot of people who post here don't even have Subies. I'll post what I think is GOOD about an STi and what I think is BAD. Just because I bought a WRX doesn't make all the models Subaru makes perfect for me. If Subaru changes the model of their WRX and I don't like it, I'll be vocal about it and say I think is UGLY. But that is my opinion and may be different from yours. Different people like different things. What someone thinks is beautiful might be considered ugly by others. But I believe this thread was started with the question EVO or STi? So I answered, with what I thought was best for me. But hey, my choice may not be for you. But I am allowed to say that. The fact that you don't want me to say that can be considered communitic or fascist. Its about free speech and the exchange of ideas. Obviously the EVO also has its own flaws, for eg: NO CRUISE CONTROL!!! ... but I would be willing to scarifice that for better handling, stronger engine and stronger transmission. Anyways by fall this year the EVO MR comes out
