I would not think so. Seems like they are electrostatic as well. I could be mis-reading.

Also, regarding closed back phones - where I use mine, I probably could not use open cans. Could you elaborate as to why you don't like closed phones? I am sure that the open ones are "better" since they are astoundingly more expensive in most cases, but, I would like to understand why.
