IMO, this trade is one big gamble. If Bogut returns to his '09-'10 form, this could very well be worth it.

W's need to rid of CapJack though..... Jack and Curry for Deron Williams?

^ the funny thing is they also hoped Biedrins would return to his old form. Look how that worked out lol

As for SJax, don't think he can clear medical fast enough to be able to flip him to some other team by Thursday's deadline.

Bogut doesn't even need to return to his old form, he just needs to do what he has been doing, minus the freak accidents.

IF he gets healthy! I say the trade was worth it.... Big guy IS needed! He would have helped alot in lastnights heartbreaking loss to Boston..

Warriors just traded Captain Jack for a box of cheetos. j/k

But they did trade him, according to Marcus Thompson, to the Spurs for Richard Jefferson and a conditional 1st round pick (terms not disclosed). They also bought Atlanta's 2nd round pick (they have 2, and Warriors get their lower pick).

I'm glad we got rid of Captain Jack! The only downside is we still take on more money (Jefferson has another 2 years left on his contract @ $9m/yr vs Jackson's 1).

no way we'd ever get dwill cause howard is gonna be a net soon..

i like the trade of captain jack but still am hung up on gambling their best player on a possible "healthy return" of bogut.. just look at Curry and his injuries are nowhere near what bougt's have been..

lil upset at Rush leaving Garnett last night for help on Pierce.. McGuire is more than capable of stoping Pierce 1v1.. just ask Chris Paul.. lol..

they need to sit bedrins and just let mcguire, and tyler handle the center spot... you get offense out of bedrins.. if he would of had 4 points we would have won.. sad being a 7fter and cant score 4 in the game..

We were never going to be players in free agency the next 2 years anyways, warriors made good trades for once, I don't mind Jefferson contract (especially to get ride of jax, lol). Now we have the option to trade up in this years draft, and in 2 years, the warriors might look like a better place for free agents. We'll have jeff and biedrins coming off the books then ($20 mil).

We now have a better starting lineup (next year) and a lot more options. If we can tank enough, we'll have an extra 1st rounder most likely.

Bogut was healthy his first few years, then came the weird accidents. I don't think his health is as much of an issue as people are making it out to be. Maybe the warmer weather here will do him some good too.

Howard has offficially opted in. So he's staying 1 more year with the Magic. I wouldn't be surprised if Deron bolts NJ and heads to Orlando. Or if Ellis opts out next year with the Bucks and heads to Orlando.

As for Mcguire, he's still a little too small to be playing center. Tyler's still inexperienced and got schooled by Garnett and was taken out of yesterday's game because of that. Biedrins is still the defacto starter or backup when Bogut is healthy.

It's not about free agency so much as trying to retain our bench players. Brandon Rush will most likely be gone as he will make much more than he is now. Warriors don't have the cap to match and retain the other players. Nate Robinson and Mcguire will ask more than what they're making now, which is somewhere in the $700k-900k range.

Yeah I would like to keep mcguire and rush, nate I don't care that much for. We will be able to keep only mcguire probably, but atleast we got a bunch of draft picks now to try and add depth. If we can move some other players on draft day, (i.e. dorell) that gives us more flexibility. Warriors have a lot of options now which is the key thing.

Hmm good point. Look at the Mavs - Chandler, Butler, Barrea, and Stevenson gone the following year.

But yeah, hopefully the warriors find a way to keep Rush and Mcguire, and shed off Dorell and Biedrins' contracts.

.....maybe sign Kwame to another 1yr deal to be Bogut's backup? (Never thought I'd imagine signing Kwame as a non-bad thing )

mcguire might be small but he's defensive minded enough to be able to get the job done.. when biedrins is in the other teams are glad they get a break.. his mental aspect of the game is toast.. he looks scared when he's out there and fouls wayyyyyy to much.. i would rather risk mcguire on his offensive ability alone over biedrins lack.. he made 4 points last night and we win.. i mean its sad that biedrins cant make 2 buckets.. no opposing team has a "gameplan" when biedrins is in the game, it's sad.. you could also say lee is undersized for his position but he does quite well at it.. i would for sure keep nate as he brings an energy that is almost unmatched around the league.. i was so happy when they signed him and said to myself, " i hope he stays around for a while."

on a sidenote anyone see the pg/fw (at least i thought he was ) for iowa state last night? he was a stud! royce white was his name..

Was nice to see Monta and the Bucks dominate the Warriors last night. Also glad to see Monta finally gets some foul calls go his way. Refs never gave him much respect in a Warriors uniform. Funny how that changed when he switched jerseys lol

Yea, Jim Barnett was pointing that out. He was saying, "Imagine if he got the same whistles as Dwayne Wade." Then again, no one outside of Kobe and LeBron gets the same treatment as D-Wade when it comes to trips to the free throw line. Good to see the tank heading full speed ahead towards the upper end of the lottery!

Hahaha I hella noticed that as well...why do bay area teams get such hate from referees? I'm almost scared for the giants season cuz we got BS'ed out of so many games by the umpires...gets so frustrating watching warriors/niners/giants
