Warriors thread
This game surprised me quite a bit. Horrible first period by everyone (except maybe Ish Smith), not just Ellis. Nobody could shoot worth a lick. It was as if they were partying last night and just arrive to the game with no warming up. Everyone looked lost. Thought for sure we would get blown out. But our defense held up and kept the game within striking distance. I think the reason they were so horrible in the 1st half was that they were running half court sets, walking the ball up on every possession and slowing the game down, and not initiating fast breaks like they usually do. The Warriors offense stalls like that (it's still clearly evident at the close of games like the Bulls game). They need to keep up the pace on offense to get easy looks.
2nd half, wow what a turnaround. Rush sparked the offense with his scoring, and multiple Warriors played defense very well. Rush and Mcguire played Melo masterfully, and the Warriors bigs got Amare out of his game and Chandler into foul trouble.
Mark Jackson sat Ellis for over 7 minutes after he played horribly and instead of just keeping him there, went over to him and gave him some words of wisdom. Once Ellis got back into the game, his shooting came back, and he was distributing the ball very well.
Very impressive win for the Warriors! Sucks that we have to wait till Saturday for the next game!

Man, 2 game skid since David Lee's been out. He's out for yet another game with some mysterious illness that landed him in the hospital. For the past two seasons, what the hell's up with his immune system? Anyway. This piece of news came through the wire.
Warriors set to sign Nate Robinson - San Jose Mercury News
Yup, Nate Robinson, a.k.a KryptoNate is supposed to sign with the Warriors. He was waived by OKC before opening night. I don't think this is a make it or break it signing or even squeeze out an extra handful of wins. At this juncture of his career, I merely see him as a novelty pick up than one the Warriors would actually have major use for. FYI, anyone go to Logan High for that one year Nate was playing ball? LOL

^ If Klay Thompson could shoot the ball, we probably wouldn't have signed Nate. But since he's struggling, I could see why they signed him. Not that I'm in support for this signing, but I find it funny how some members on the other Warrior forums want the Warriors to pursue the headcase JaMarcus (oops I meant DeMarcus) Cousins, but are absolutely against the Nate signing. Beast or not, a headcase is a headcase, and things eventually go south with them.
After seeing the Spurs game, I think the Nate signing will be good for us. Curry's fragile spaghetti stick ankle is becoming a real pain. How do you even roll your ankle going forward? Even Jim Barnett asked the same question.
No help for Ellis, who was fantastic today. He was gassed at the end, ZERO help. Could've used Nate in this game. At least we'd have another offensive option to go to. Should've won this game.

After some thought, oddly enough, due to the assistant coach (Michael Malone), the Warriors are more defensively inept this season. However, just like the Niners who had the same issue for the past few years, if the defense isn't translating into offense, then something's not going well and either thing's gonna give. After having a plethora of offensive weapons last season, it's kinda odd seeing the team so inefficient on that end of the court with generally the same roster. You're right, that back court just ran out of gas when their current reserves aren't experienced and consistent enough to produce points off the bench. That'll be Nate Robinson's job when he lands in Oakland.

Well, this rumor is back in the spotlight. Sure, it's good for headlines, but the likelihood of this happening is very doubtful, I'd think. Pfft, like good stuff happens to the Warriors.
