Warriors baby. I know it's still a long shot, but it'd be awesome if they made the playoffs. They're definitely playing good ball right now and playing better team defense. WE BELIEVE baby.

P.S. Jeremy Lin is showing flashes of why he can make it in the NBA. He needs to be more aggressive, but then again he is just a rookie!

And for.goodness sake is David stern blind? Ellis had one last chance of.making the all star team. And that was an injury replacement specified by stern.

I do hope that monta takes it out on the rest of the season to.show. the commish is blind as a.bat and the eastern conference ain't the NBA alone...
If you mean replacing Yao Ming in the lineup? Then Stern isn't the one who's blind here. :P Kevin Love's been phenomenal and it's already a damn shame he was left off the original roster in the first place.

Warriors are shopping around the expiring contracts. One rumor was an expiring contract(s) for Troy Murphy deal reported by Rusty Simmons.

according to the above article

As reported Tuesday, the Nets are also close to receiving forward Brandan Wright(notes) and center Dan Gadzuric(notes) from the Golden State Warriors in a separate trade that sends the Warriors forward Troy Murphy(notes). That deal is expected to be finalized by Thursday.
i swear i will stop watching warriors games when troy murphy is in...he was my least favorite player, along with mike dunleavy and i was overjoyed when they both left the warriors...while i agree dan gadzuric and b.wright havent been doing anything for the team, there IS NO NEED for a player as useless as troy murphy...we've got his better counterpart in david lee and theres a reason we already got rid of his garbage

Haha I was pissed when I heard they got him but when I was listening to KNBR 680 this morning and they were saying Murphy will never play. Theyre just gonna use his contract to get someone else

they're just gunna buy out his contract so he becomes a free agent and they're going to get a draft pick from him.

Awww....

Anyway, I think they're doing well enough just to not be accused of tanking. Keith Smart is really trying to save his own ***. I'm not complaining. He should coach every game like he's trying to save his own *** and get us more wins. Forget, "Where has THIS David Lee been all season?" Where the hell has THIS Keith Smart been all season?

That's actually what he's been doing for most of the season. Nelson was criticized for playing his starters heavy minutes, leading to injuries and fatigue. Smart tried to change that. Early in the season, he'd rest Ellis and the others. When DLee got hurt with the tooth in his elbow and the Warriors started losing, that's when Smart started reverting to "win at all costs" and playing Ellis and Wright for most of the game. If you look at total minutes played, Ellis leads the nba, while Wright is 4th. That "win at all costs" mentality also led to him playing DLee prematurely before his elbow was fully healed, and Curry prematurely before his ankle was getting healthy. There were also times he left Acie Law in the game, when his wrist was clearly hurting and should've been taken out.

But either way, even if Smart wins the final couple of games, I don't think he will be back next season (if there is one).

Recently Joe Lacob reached out to Chris Mullin about having his jersey retired at Oracle. At least Chris Mullin's been classy about his fall out with the Warriors. Hopefully they can mend the bridges and maybe, Mullin can positively influence the franchise again. Not likely, but at least it's better than not talking to him at all.
