If I'm not mistaken 1997 was the first year of the active handling chassis control system for corvette.
It basically is programmed to make corrections. Say you're sliding to the left it'll try to correct to the right to straighten out. So if this kid was fighting it then that could only add to the issues. Not to mention it was a first year deal. 11 year old technology and sensors. And an 18 year old kid at the wheel.

1) I reject the multiple statements of kids being the ones who wreck fast cars, people of all ages wreck fast cars, its the way of the human being, as humans we are complete idiots, we develop **** thats past us (nuclear bombs, cars, planes etc.), I understand that it was a kid this time, but what would you all have said if the guy was 27? You wouldn't have said 'punk middle aged man', its those few kids that give us all bad names yet people take it out on the whole generation (insurance, cops harrasing us just to name a couple)
Sorry guy, but its just a FACT that 17-18 year old are THREE times more likely to cause accidents than someone my age, you think insurance companies set their rates based on some prejudice against teenagers?
guys in blue, girls in purple.
