the kid that died was a cousin of one of the guys on the corvette forum.
Just goes to show, they can profile imports and all but its just the fact that these kids that dont even have fully developed frontal lobes (part of the brain that interprets cause-and-effect, doesnt fully develop till around 21-22yo) end up an ANY car and they are going to **** up.

i don't get it.. do u think ur impressing her with how u beat another car? i am almost positive all she thought about the car was that it looked cool and it was pretty voomy... i bet she wasn't interested in street racing..

1) I reject the multiple statements of kids being the ones who wreck fast cars, people of all ages wreck fast cars, its the way of the human being, as humans we are complete idiots, we develop **** thats past us (nuclear bombs, cars, planes etc.), I understand that it was a kid this time, but what would you all have said if the guy was 27? You wouldn't have said 'punk middle aged man', its those few kids that give us all bad names yet people take it out on the whole generation (insurance, cops harrasing us just to name a couple)

HORRIBLE car accident in Castro Valley/Dublin yesterday
Cliff notes: an 18 year old guy and a 17 year old girl (who was really hot BTW) died when the douchebag's Corvette hit a electric pole after going 140mph+ and leaving skidmarks 400 yards long! 
(thats what the news has been reporting). They were going so fast that one of the car's wheels was found a little over a HALF MILE away!
I visited the scene this morning and they weren't lying... the skid marks are unbelievably long. The girl that was killed was this guys friend... They worked at a supermarket together. Wish this guy could be killed a couple more times for taking her life!

This is the fourth major accident I have seen THIS month... two of which were fatal (remember the biker?). I didn't really witness this accident, but I saw the aftermath yesterday morning when all the cops and firemen were there, not to mention the news people. I saw the white corvette in person and I couldnt even tell it was a corvette.
One question I have is how come the skid marks were so long if the car has ABS? I couldn't leave skidmarks like that in the Subie
The cause of the accident is unknown at the moment, but people think it was street racing involved. If thats the case, at least they were on a very rural road and didnt kill anyone else.

There is already a thread for this but one thing from the article stuck out to me
With 300 foot skid marks and ABS on the car its a fact that high speed was involved, it doesn't take a ****ing rocket scientist to figure that out, for ****s sake the cops need to pull their heads out of their asses and do their job
They don't believe alcohol was involved and they are looking into whether extreme speed was involved in this fatal accident.

When I drive fast, I'm alone... ALWAYS. I can't imagine crashing and taking someones life... I'd rather die before my passenger does. Can you imagine living with that in your mind? Funny how the driver always survives.
