Top gears review of GT86
In my experience a fast car is funner haha
My dad went from a z3 coupe with the 200hp 2.8l to a z4 m coupe with I think 330hp? And I drove the z3 a lot, basically learned stickshift in that car...and I drove the z4 only a few times but it was way funner to drive that car kinda fast than his slower z3 at its limits

My STi probably gives me about 75% of the feeling the vette did.
Nobody likes the tuna here

Yep, I got hooked after daily driving my moms 1999 C5 vette for a few months! Haha probably has something to do with being able to do 59mph in first gear all while never looking away from the road (laser projected heads up display)

i use to daily drive, grip and drift miata's for 10 years, i really want to drive a BRZ and see how it feels. I want one basically because its RWD, small but decent trunk space so i can still toss all my work tools in the back, and they look awesome!

They are talking about a twinscroll single turbo BRZ for 2014... Lots of talk about about more power to come, but with a bigger price tag...
idk if i should wait?

With the price tag of the current BRZ Limited being around 28k, I could easily see the STI version that's turbo being at least 36, but with how Subaru like to mark up it'd be in the low 40k range.. I wouldn't be surprised :/

If there's a turbo version, you're right: it's going to be WRX STI money. However, I'll believe there's a turbo version when Subaru actually tells the world there's a turbo version.
It's QQ thankyouverymuch

I think the GT86 is pretty good as it is. I test drove a FR-S at the SF Autoshow and I thought it was great. Granted this is compared to my 2.5i. On paper the FR-S is faster than my car and on the road it felt faster too.
However, my friend who was with me did not share my enthusiasm. He drives a '02 WRX and he said that the FR-S felt almost the same as his WRX.
I think it is also interesting how the GT86 is classed. While the STi is B and the WRX is D, the GT86 is right between the two in C class.
But I agree with G_Ride and wombatsauce, it is much more fun, and rewarding, to be able to get the most out of a slow car than it is to just drive a fast car.

I make ~250% as much power as his stock WRX and I still think mine is slow.

It's especially fun being faster in a slow car than someone in a fast car.
