Stupid Question (why is a FMIC illegal?)

as well as in washington. The cops don't care about modifications, but if you are breaking the law and have illegal stuff in it they will fine you to kazoo. I have a friend that extreamly modded his camaro and was caught going 60 in a school zone (yes I know, really stupid on his part), and the cop fined him double for bing in a school zone. He got a ticket for speeding (recless and dangerment level, he almost lost his license, but got a pittiful judge) plus some mods that are illegal. The total ticket was $3000 before the judge started in. In the end, he paid $2000, plus he had to take his car back to stock compleatly and have it checked by the police to right it off, take drivers education over again. In the end he ended up paying about $5000+ out of pocket. I don't remember what mods he had that were deamed illegal, and what modes he had at all, but OUCH.

not sure about ricer fart cans or other bling mods, but cops in davis are punks for every other offense. try going over the limit on russell/5th St., A/1st St., Old Davis Rd., or Anderson Rd. heck, i wouldn't even speed on Cowell!

Anyways davis pd is bored that is all. I allways speed down russell and covell. haha trick is to go above 120 so they cant catch you then duck into an apartment complex.

How about if a cop sees an aftermarket TMIC with stock intake tract? I was thinking about this this morning. My TurboXS TMIC says HYPERFLOW right across it. Would a cop say something about this? Is it illegal to upgrade your TMIC while keeping your intake tract stock?

Damn when i got pulled over this cop kept giving me crap about the stock intercooler. then he said my bov was a NOS injector... what a dumb ***. I swear he just watched 2 fast 2 furious and thought he knew his ****.

Wouldn't FMIC affect collision standards as well? Then again, I doubt that cops would ticket you for that as opposed to intake modification.
