Hello,
I have been a Subaru fan for a couple of years now and an Impreza owner for a little over a year. Ever since I have looked at Subaru's (epsically STI's) I have always wondered "WHY PINK"
Why are most of the aftermarket parts and logos for performance Subaru's powder coated in florescent pink?
This was something I began to ponder while sand blasting Pink off my strut tower bars a few weeks ago.

I can't say why they chose pink as one of the colors...but it's one of the 'STi' signature colors with WRBlue. The color is also not technically pink...it's cherry blosom red or something like that...but it sure as hell looks like pink to me too.
but blue & green are pretty neutral. pink, on the other hand, sticks out like a sore thumb, especially on blue. did they just want a catchy color scheme?
i was hoping that there was a story or some sort of logic behind the pink color as well.

I like the pink. Pink is unique. Usually when you think of performance parts and their color schemes, you usually think of Red, Blue, Yellow, or Green. Pink stands out more and tends to grab people's attention. When I first got my subie I was like “STI pink?” hmmm. Then it grew on me.

Because the STi is masculine enough to be in touch with it's more feminine side.

Also the Cherry blossom red thing probably has greater significance to the Japanese for obvious reasons. Ever watched an anime?
