not sure, but probably because you can't see very well out of a dark tint? or because cops can't see inside to see if you're pointing a gun at them? just some guesses.

 

The cops want to be able to see, if your holding a gun or not

 

not just in case of weapons, but also to be able to identify people.

 

i figure that if they made it illegal because it supposed to be hard to see out of it, shouldn't wearing sunglasses be illegal too when driving in the day?

 

i doubt it, i never seen sunglasses so dark that it makes it hard to see out of.

 

also the galss doesnt shatter like it should when it is tinted

 

More like wearing sun glasses at night. I'm pretty sure they worry more about night than day.

 

What I don't understand is how you can get limo tint in the rear, but basically nothing in the front. If a guy wanted to shoot a cop, couldn't his friend just do it from the rear seat?

There is of course one way to get around this.

If you know anyone that can write you up a doctors note pretty much. "something official" My buddy has a doctors note from his uncle stating he has a skin condition caused from direct sunlight and he is able to rock limo tint all around.

Honestly. I have limo all around on my wrx and I have yet to get hastled. I've had it on four of my cars and haven't been talked to nor pulled over for it.

 

my windows are tinted too. and never have hassled for them either i was just wondering

my gf has 13% front and rear and was cited when she got a ticket . got it written off though so she lucked out also.
