Stevens Creek has always been nice to me. Parts or Service. They answer all my questions and when my clutch was slipping, they replaced it for free no questions ask even though my car was slightly modded (bolt ons and a tune). On top of that they also replaced my brakes pads for free. Oh yea I got my 06 STi there for a pretty good price.

Chris in parts is the man. He is a cool guy and always hooks it up with the i-club discount. Last summer when I ordered a bunch of parts the discount ended up being pretty large.

You rock Chris!

this was their famous line to me
"yeah we offer the iclub discounts on parts, i will get you the total for everything first."
after i paid for it, i saw that there was no discount whatsoever.. no biggie, coulda saved a few bucks..but i aint going back there again.

its either he was A.lying out of his *** B.a f*ckin retard and forgets what he says after 20 seconds checking up part numbers.

edit: if chris is the fat asian guy with the crazy hair, hes cool...but the other skinny mexican or white guy... no good

a friend of mine had a evo and both his and his brother with a 05 wrx had about the same amount of miles and both their clutches died on them at less that 20k not slip but died didnt work anymore, the suby went to Steven Creeek subaru and the evo went to mitusbishi and the subaru was covered but the evo wasn't. I thought that was pretty cool.

im happy to hear that someone is working on making sure customers are treated right from the get go.

but ill never return... whats my beef? if you care, read on

i went there to buy my (new) car ONLY cause they were the only ones with a wingless white 03 instock and would not trade with the dealership in my area (holding it hostage haha)

i went in knowing id be prime pray and was firm on the price 21,900 and they delivered there no problem. and had the full OEM body kit included with the purchase at the same time. (paid extra)

but upon prepping the car for me the detail guy put a crazy deep long scratch in my passenger door and was assured it would be sent over to the body shop and fixed on my next appointment

when i returned the car on the appointment day (6am) the service guy had no idea what i was talking about and told i would be ready by the end of th day ????????? ok?

so i return at about 5:40pm and see that nothing had been done to the car so as i waited on the service manager i walked over to the parts department and asked if and when my body kit would be in and he looked at me like a fool and told me there was no such thing as a body kit for the wrx so i asked him if anything was ordered for me and he told me..... you guessed it NO! great!

went back to the service area and after going in circles trying to figure out why nothing was done on the car i knocked on the dealership General managers door

after explaining to him the ordeal with my car and my parts the GM started screaming at the service guy, and anyone else that had miss informed me and not set up a appointment with the body shop or bothered to call me and let me know about the screw up. then he called in the parts guy and THREW a wrx optional accessories pamplet at him showing the OEM body kit and my paperwork showing i had paid and drilled him on why the F my crap wasnt ordered and what the F this and that!!! ect ect.

so there i was sitting in the head honchos office, in a chair while he had about 4 staff members in there as he cussed and harassed them verbally over why THE F! MY CAR DIDNT GET FIXED? were the F is my parts ect. ect.!!!!!!!! every unnerving and unprofessional. i could tell the guys just wanted to kick the crap out of me after getting made look like a bunch incompetent tools. (which they were)

so since i live in modesto and its now way passed 6pm i was given a maxima from the used car lot to take home and return when the car was done

4 days later the car was done , and aside from the wood screw holding the rear window molding (still there) the job left the car as good as new

but sadly after that i had NO desire to ever return, but had to a week later to pick up the full factory body kit. when i walked in EVERYONE treated me like crap, i could tell they knew who i was and it felt as tho they had allot of animosity towards me over what had previously happened. the service guy mugged me down as i walked in and the parts guy was a total *****, and tho i had paid for them to install the body kit i opted to just get refunded because they were in no mood to help me.

quite vivid till this day it was so bad.

Since you asked...

Stevens Creek screwed my brother over royally. I won't go into details since there was a whole thread about this. Stevens Creek clearly took advantage of a young and inexperienced buyer even though I told him to make sure that the price was the price. I knew about the Stevens Creek reputation but never had experienced it first hand. We have not even thought about setting foot on the dealership. The desire to set the place on fire has slowly diminished.

Last week, I read a post about buying stuff. Unit 91 you had mentioned about helping local economy vs. other online places. I said to myself, you know times are bad and maybe the parts department is different than the scum of the earth sales department. Even with the i-club discount, the prices were still 30% higher than other online Subaru sources. So I am now shopping around online to get these parts. Sorry Unit 91 but this came down to personal vs. local finances and the hatred for SC didn't help my decision to look elsewhere.

The way our invoices print makes it seem like there isn't a discount because it prints 'list' and 'sale' based on the price code. i-Club gets a special price code that changes all that. We don't just go in and hand change the prices. Give me your invoice number and I'll tell you what the stuff you bought actually sells for.

I'm the 'white guy' (why the hell that matters is beyond me). If you have a problem try saying something. Notice that your invoice doesn't seem right? I'm more than happy to explain. Try asking questions before you just decide people are stupid.

"Retard"? Nice. Way to prove a point by resorting to name calling.

All it takes is asking for a bit more or showing me another price. Will I match online? Absolutely not. Sorry, it isn't going to happen. Will I get close? Yeah... in 90% of cases I don't have a problem with that at all.

What really cracks me up is that a lot of you never even bothered asking a question that would probably have either pointed out a mistake or helped to gain a better understanding. You just leave and then bash us on the internet. It makes me laugh.

If you never bring something up to the actual place and then later just bash it to someone what did you actually accomplish? Nothing. Other than making yourself feel better for ranting.

No one ranted until you started this thread and asked. There is another way to look at this. You know the SC reputation here on i-club. You know what the prices are on web, really there are 2 or 3 sites that most people who are enthusiasts go to (I am talking Subaru dealerships with a web presence). Why don't you give competitive pricing against web prices for folks who go through i-club instead of saying why don't you bargain. Traditionally, dealerships do not bargain on parts, sale price for cars... yes. Not parts. What is the percentage of parts customers that come from i-club? I'll bet not that much but once word gets out that you are competitive compared to web pricing, your parts sales volume will go up.

Don't ask if you don't want to hear the answers. This thread sounds like this thread.

Brick & mortar stores don't match online prices, the cost set up is totally different. Heck, last I checked Costco won't match them, and they have the cheapest prices around.
