Awwww.... only a couple board lengths further. I wonder what was the percentage of successful skimmers.

Oh, and even though I still have a Snowbomb freebie each for Sierra and China Peak, I may not be able to use them before they close. I injured my ribs on Thursday falling in a rutted out landing of the last jump on Upper Snowshoe at Sierra. I thought it was from pressing into the plastic guide in the shoulder strap of my Camelbak. But on Saturday, I put it on and found that the strap piece is a lot closer to my shoulder than my floating rib. While it's possible that my pack moved suddenly during the fall, I most likely just stacked it so freakin hard belly/chest first. Oof.

Imma see how the ol' ribs are doing come Easter. Hopefully, taking time off for a couple weeks from riding and any other physical activity that'll strain 'em further will be enough. Over a month ago, I promised my niece that I'd take her up to learn to ski/snowboard during her spring break.

Sierra closes on the 23rd. China Peak may possibly extend past that same date. They plan to evaluate demand coming into that tentative closing weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.

Sorry man. I know what you're going through. If I were you i'd get a couple rolls of the extra wide ACE bandages and wrap yourself up. I was able to ride the day after I cracked mine mainly because of that. I wrapped myself for a few days.

I'm not sure if/when I'll get more days. I'm tracking this next storm and might try to get a piece of it. That may be it for me.

Yeah, I remember your "tree hugging" bail. I thought about wrapping my torso up too, but I looked up treatment info and they didn't recommend it cuz it'll likely restrict breathing. And some of the complications of rib injuries involve respiratory issues related to shallow breathing.

So as suggested in much of the info I came across... for the 1st 3 days, I iced it a few times a day. I may wrap it if I'm jonesin' really bad to ride and they're still pretty painful. Been taking ibuprofen as needed.

Hell, I just tried to go for a run after posting earlier, and I had to stop less than a minute in. The jolting radiating back up thru my legs and into my core was too much to be able to breathe as fully as I need to. So I was a power-walking fool!

Oh, and sneezing sux!

Wowzers! I just saw the upcoming forecast! Although the first bit coming in on Thur will be on the warmer side with snow levels right around most resorts' base elevations, the colder air that pushes in the Thur-Fri overnite and thru Sat looks like it'll help bring the goods! The upper elevations should get nearly 3 feet from closing Thur to closing Sat. That's AMAZING for the 1st week of April!

Too bad I'm going on a week-long vacation starting on Sat. Get it while y'all can. I'm hoping to put in 2 or 3 more days of spring riding in before I call my season.

Remember that we gotta do a SquAwlpine sesh too.

Yeah. For the first probably 6 or so hours after it happen I could barely breath. First 2 hours my breathes were probably 15% of normal. Was gnarly. Hurt so freakin bad.

Went for it anyways. LOL!

Riding squaw this Saturday in the slush w/ my buddy Anthony. Last and final day I'll do until next season.

Don't think I've ever rode in June before.

Squaw this past Saturday. Wasn't many runs open so mostly just messed around in the halfpipe and boardercross course.

Didn't get a chance to post last week when I read the Farmers' Almanac Winter Prediction, but we're looking at a normal winter season -- i.e. neither record-breaking annual snowfall nor a return to drought conditions. And I'm good with this.

Winter Weather Forecast - Farmers' Almanac 2017- 2018 | TransWorld SNOWboarding

For the western third of the country—mainly those areas west of the Continental Divide—the overall winter will not be as wet as last year. Our forecasts are pointing to a return to more normal winter conditions in regard to both temperatures and precipitation. This is not to say that there won’t be occasional bouts of heavy precipitation sweeping in from the Pacific, or shots of cold air pushing south through western Canada (because what’s winter without those?), but these should be balanced out by spells of dry and mild weather.

Funny you should bring that up, I just finished my 'sorting' process (tedious) of 12 days of gopro footage last week and compiling a few time lapses.

Started editing at the end of last week. It'll still be at least a month or more till I'm done with the edit due to having enough free time in the evening.

Planning to get a few rough cuts done and get it polished, should be having a little 'premier' lol at my buddy Anthony's house when its done... you should come thru. Hoping to build the stoke for next season

I'll of course post it here as well once ready

Nice. And I'll mos def come to the premiere if I'm not already locked into some other thing.

I'm already tired of this mini heat wave, so shred season can't come soon enough.

Woo woo! Did you check out Mattlys latest?

Btw, finished the 1st rough cut of my video intro last night. Still needs some polishing but once thats done I can knock out the montage sections which will be a lot faster to complete.

Also if anyone on here is looking to get an epic pass for free + great discounts and willing to work in the shop and or ski/snowboard dept @ the Dublin Any Mtn. just pm me. We are approaching the season fast and need some good people in there. You don't need to work full time but as long as you can fill a consistent schedule (based on your availability) through the season then that would work for us.
