Couldn't give you an honest answer to if its normally crowded... It wasn't terrible last time I went up.

Have you tried Kirkwood? Plenty of steep terrain. Place is awesome on a powder day. Im heading up tomorrow

i havn't tried kirkwood yet cause i leave southern tahoe resorts like sierra as places for day trips. every year i make a trip to northern tahoe for boarding then head up to reno and stay a few nights.

I did a day trip to Kirkwood today. Lift lines were not a problem and the snow was very good. I was able to find a ton of fresh powder patches. They now have the same rf scanners that Heavenly uses to verify lif tickets.

Yep, if you log into epic mix and have a free account set up you can see and track your vertical feet you ride per day along with all the lifts you rode. I've ridden 2 days this season and already have over 23k feet logged in.
If you have an iPhone the have the epic mix app you can download.

Costco usually has a two pack for $100, but don't know if they already have them on sale.

Was at Kirkwood yesterday with subi4justin and another friend and conditions were amazing. We will be going up to Northstar next Sunday.
