Yea I'm getting there. Still have so much to unpack and get clean and yardwork that needs to get done. But the more days pass the more I think about it. Especially the anger I feel that I paid $300 last year and need to get that ***** paid off before this year is up. As long as we have snow starting February 17th, I have every Friday off from the 17th of February to the 30th of March. 3 day trips here I come.
Looks like a SubaBrew PowderHound party up in here.... up in here.
Justin: Grats to you & Dawn on the new home purchase! Btw, didn't ya know that living so close to the Central Valley & saying "drought" is a no-no?
I wouldn't say we've got a drought... just a different La Niña than we had last year. Last season, we had a good Dec, then dry fr New Year's til near Valentines. Then a decent March ending w/ a rogue winter storm in April.
While I highly doubt we'll be able to make up the precip totals, I'm hoping we get to at least near 80% of normal by the time this season ends. No immediate H2O concerns b/c our reservoirs are full now, but it'd be nice to know we won't have to worry abt our water supply longer-range. I'm BBQ'ing on Sun to help appease the mighty Ullr. Make on the rain, baby, make it rain!

Boreal

Finally some snow

It was really sad going up to be honest. Knowing what it SHOULD be like right now...but after accepting that it is what it is, I had a good time.

I'm up in Arnold with friends at the cabin... I'll try and make a trip to bear valley if anyone is interested in seeing any pics or anything.
I'm hoping the parking lot is iced over.

But thanks man, it's nice to have our own place.
If you want to make your own snow... here are some plans on this site. Free Home Snowmaking Machine Plans - SN Snowmaking 2011-2012
I bought all the parts and am going to assemble it when I get back home, but the weather has to be 27 degrees or lower to make snow. I'm hoping we get that low in sac so I could have a little backyard jib session.

Went to Heavenly today, Only Nevada side had a park open, but the Gondola wasn't open so we couldn't get over there
Oh well at least it's snowing at Northstar right now and there is projected snow fall for the end of the week.
Here is a pic I took of Izzyidk?'s car on our way back.
