I meant room in their car, unless you are offering that too haha

If you are, I will also return the favor when my car is done at Ed's which should be around Jan 1 or something like that I am hoping!

was planning on riding on Sunday but that was before I realized how bad the conditions are supposed to be. I guess I'll try to ride on Wednesday.
Where are you guys riding? I might either hit up northstar since some friends have a cabin nearby for the week or heavenly since some other friends are going there.

I pay the rent at Harra's and Harvy's so they like to help me out from time to time with a nice priced room lol

How bad is it supposed to be? Was planning on hitting up Homewood Sunday & Monday with a buddy who's pretty new to riding so it's cheaper for him. I'm normally at Kirkwood, where I have a pass & cabin.

I was planning to day trip it tomorrow w/ a couple "rookies" (my nephew & his uncle on his mom's side) but decided to postpone till next week. While I'm glad the Pineapple Express fr: HI & cold air fr: AK are hooking up for this massive pukage, conditions (both driving & riding) are supposed to be pretty gnarly tomorrow & Sun.

Since someone a while back asked about weather links to check into before trips to the slopes, here's what I consult:
http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...ield2=-120.072
This NOAA forecast is for Kirkwood, but you can simply type in any city & state or ZIP code into the box at the top. You can also click on the terrain map itself to get a pinpoint forecast of your favorite resort.

Another great link is... http://www.snowforecast.com/SquawValleyUSA
This one displays Squawllywood's outlook, but find your home mtn among the list under the "Resorts in California" tab.

Finally, for road conditions...
CalTrans: http://www.dot.ca.gov/cgi-bin/roads.cgi
Nevada DOT: http://www.safetravelusa.com/nv/

Drive safe & happy faceshots!

I'd probably be expecting a wet heavy mess of a LOT of snow around base levels. I'd expect the higher elevations to get a good dumping though.

It was straight snowing ALL day at Sierra. Snow level seemed to start at 5500 ft, Sierra's base is above 6000ft. It was easily coming down at the rate of 1" per hour today. Not many people on the road, but it was very slow going when there were other cars.

The runs were all gravy all day, nice soft powder all around.

After reading the snow report, I don't want to risk the drive up. Also not a huge fan of whiteout conditions while riding, no matter how much pow is under foot. Canceling this weekend and hoping to go up Monday & Tuesday after Christmas.
