Northstar was beautiful today. Lots of powder and it looks like it going to snow more tonight so tomorrow should be awesome.

Came up yesterday, left Vallejo around 3:00pm and got to N. Lake around 7:30pm. My friend drove his wrangler which kicks butt up here.

Eh, dodge was okay today. Maybe 10-12" on top of a solid ice crust. Made fro tricky steep lines and I caused a few mini avalanches down some cliff lines.

I went to this place up here in upstate NY. ****ing terrible. It was depressing. The whole place was about the size of a typical bunny hill. They had a "black diamond" run that you could take a t-bar to. I'm sorry but it's not that serious if you can take the t-bar there lol. They also don't know how to make a jump. The landings were taller than the jumps, which didn't really have a lip to speak of. Funny stuff.

I rode Sugar Bowl today. There was some decent powder in some places, but there was a lot of ice below ~10" of powder, and there was a lot of really heavy stuff. The visibility was also pretty poor, so it was pretty hard to determine terrain. The drive up had chain control, but I did fine in my car, and it wasn't very slick.

In 9 years of having a subaru I've never been even stopped for chains and my current subie, is so low and modded that I have no idea how nobody says anything. I guess they've seen my car around here long enough already.

Well I actually once got pulled over for going too fast in the snow. Got let off after I told him that I live there and knew what I was doing.

Also got to drive around in the snow on my summer tires today. No grip issues but gotta throw on the snowtires again because of this unexpected temp drop.
