I'm going to be in NY for this whole storm. So bummed out.

 

Its all good.. I'll be working everyday till christmas except Sunday.

 

So happy for this storm!! Wednesday should be off the charts for Heavenly with over 6" of fresh snow!!

 

I just got back from Sugarbowl, it was dumping snow

 

I need to lock down some tires... haaaa.

Suppose to get another 6 feet in the next 5 days!

6 inches? You mean 6 feet or possibly even more in the higher elevations. Can't wait till we go ride Wednesday, should be so sick. Just hoping is not that wet sticky powder but instead that nice fluffy dry pow.

 

I need some snow tires too...I'm real close to getting some off of tire rack, the general artimax.

As far as everyone else heading up this weekend. Don't be foolish. It's going to be real nasty. Don't try to go on your r-compounds. Pack your vehicle accordingly. Bring supplies jic. Buddy system is a must in these conditions. Whistles are a smart idea. Disappearing happens fast.

 

I need them in for my 16inch stockers. General Altimax seem to be the best bang for buck, and they are a good dedicated snow tire according to reviews on this forum and on tirerack...for $344 for 4 sets i dunno how much cheaper I can find them for(if i get a 205-60-16 size instead of 205-55-16, it saves me even more, $312!)

Has anybody tried the Pirelli Winter Carving Edge? I found them for $288 for all 4.

Don't know who else is going, bur Matt and I will be up at Heavenly riding Wednesday for sure. This wknd will be way to nasty to even enjoy riding, unless you like riding with almost zero visibility.
