Nice. A pass & ski lease are the way to go to really make your days count.

The last time I hucked Tower Eight Drop-Off was super fun. I did the "meaty" part a couple times & 'twas definitely at least a 15-footer. As much as I ride KW, I don't know enough off the names. I love all the stuff under Notch & the other chutes off 10. Plus, there's tons of goodies off 6. A really fun lap goes Chamoix to lower Sentinel into Rabbitland to Timber Creek, then take 7 up for lower Olympic to catch 6. Tyipcally, I just cut back across to head up 6 again before even getting into the goodies of Rabbitland.

Anyone having a season pass dilemma like I am? Can't decide on any of them, and now I saw that Kirkwood, Alpine Meadows and Homewood have a package season pass I was really looking into getting the Northstar/Heavenly pass with the Colorado resorts access since my brother is stationed in Colorado now. But he could be deploying overseas soon, so that might not work out. But I really like Sierra and they have the Sun-Fri pass for $219 Aaaggghhh
Damn, Aaron, you gotta get on 'em, brah. Can't miss out on a killer freebie like that! Depending on your weight & skill level, you could even consider a 162. Iirc, you've got a couple solid seasons under your belt. The tweaks to its board characteristics make the 'bird perfect for getting comfy & confident off the groomers.

In re: to passes, I'm angling toward the Tripl3Threat (Kw, AM, Hw) myself. At ONLY $329 for students, that's pennies per acreage. Probably the best deal hands down! A couple of the Epic passes have great value, too. If your bro doesn't get called out, that'd be a killer one for you to catch some really awesome CO resorts. I read/hear about lots of great stuff in the Rockies in general.

If you're likely to NOT be riding on Sat's, those Sun thru Fri passes that resorts offer kick butt. Btw, I love Sierra. I'm real partial to since I learned there & have TONS of great memories I've had on the mtn. I know the place real well though I still need to hit up Huckleberry Canyon when the snow's good!

I'm pretty sure Burton already released their 2012 gear. Some sick stuff. But I want some Union bindings, thinking that's all I really need at this point. Until I see something I have to have.

Yea my Burton P1.1's are a little too soft for my large frame. I need something a little stiffer.

So it looks like I'm going for the 159. I dunno if you end up following up on your prize, but maybe you could hold off til mine comes in. That way, once I've got my grubby mitts on 'er, I can give you a better idea on flex or anything else you might be wondering about. Lemme know. We might even be able to link up so you can check it out in person.

We're definitely gonna get an indian summer. No way around it. Been to cold this summer.
While this ain't Indian summer right now (we've still got a few weeks to see if that pans out), I guess all that winter talk had Mother Nature saying "I'll show you!"

I emailed them again (same email conversation as before) and haven't heard back Going to send them a fresh email to try to get a better response. Yeah we definitely should hook up this season and ride. Im really curious to hear/see how it rides since its marketed as a powder board but the specs and others input makes it sound like another board hahaha Glad you were able to decide on a size, saw on TruSnow you weren't sure. Hate going back and forth on things hahaha

if anyone has ridden one of them or both or all three this season or last please post up some comments/comparisons between the models and vs camber.

i demo'd a skate-banana couple weeks back and was pretty surprised at how well it rode. was expecting it to be not as good on the groomers but it was fine...so just wondering what differences there are between the different manufacturer's.
had a 2009 BLUNT v-rocker 155 (and im 6ft/180lb!) which is entry level but an awesome board. i got about 26 rides on it, took some getting used to but was awesome once i got it. real forgiving for spin tricks/butters/near death incidences! LOL...rode it thru super technical powder trees and on chill park run/cruiser/butter days and loved the versatility. My only complaint was that it turned almost too easily in powder and it took a lot to not overturn and endo over the front of the board but i figured it out pretty quick. Then the damn base laminate came up real bad so i switched to my old Nitro regular camber board and was shocked how much I now disliked the regular camber (with the exception of slightly less pop but i felt you could yank the rocker a little harder so it was real close)....BUT Burton warranted my BLUNT at full 2011 value and im upgrading to the 2012 Joystick 154 based on lots of research and HIGH recommendations from the Burton staff. hope that helps a little...cANT WAIT TO SHRED, I hate Summer!
