rollcall...snowboarding...you know who you are.
I shot Jordan a text yesterday but haven't heard back yet. I'll try his work cell in a bit.
I'll double-check in a bit on El Jefe's status, too.
Come to think of it... I likely won't get to catch up w/ 'em at all since I'm riding 2mrw, then heading to the lake immediately after.

I don't foresee a Triple Whammy trip in my immediate future. But if anything changes, I'll ping ya, brah!

Holy smokes it was so slushy @Bear this past Fri! We really should have just called it a day at lunch time. Or at the least, we should have gotten a re-wax to get the gunk cleaned off our boards. I didn't know just how dirty & sticky my base was til the end of the day as we were walking up to the lodge bar.
Other than the mucky & slow snow conditions, there wasn't much to complain about. Zero wind. Zero crowds. Felt a li'l muggy at times. Mostly cloudy day, which "thickened" up a bit more around 3 & made the light a li'l flat. Still another fun day, esp. since it was FREE w/ my SnowBomb festival voucher! Oh, and I finally rode down the mini-chute just above the bunny hill. It wasn't as clean as I'd like since I had to hand- & butt-check the landing.
Bottom line: Use spring wax. Bring base cleaner to clear the gunk halfway thru the day. Re-apply rub-on/paste wax. Have fun!

reverse camber
does anyone here ride a burton custom v-rocker or a lib-tech skate-banana or Jones all mountain twin?
if anyone has ridden one of them or both or all three this season or last please post up some comments/comparisons between the models and vs camber.
i demo'd a skate-banana couple weeks back and was pretty surprised at how well it rode. was expecting it to be not as good on the groomers but it was fine...so just wondering what differences there are between the different manufacturer's.

I haven't ridden them yet, but I've been looking at the Never Summer's rocker/camber tech. Similar to the Libtech Skunk Ape, not the skate banana. I haven't fully committed myself to wanting a full rocker board due to it mostly being used for park stuff which I'm not really into.
I'm mainly a freerider/all-mountain guy and when I demo'd the board that's all I did and it was fine...so maybe it just depends on the board...but the skate banana was one that people said its a "park" board...
I rode today @ Alpine and it was some of the best off piste corn snow I've ever ridden...it was pretty crazy...then it started snowing @ noon and was still snowing when I left at 3pm. I just rode my Santa Cruz 159 and it was perfect for the day...trees were awesome off Scott chair and the back bowls on Sherwood were just like butter
